Bellatrix needs her husband, simply for plots sake. She doesn't love him anymore, but whether he loves her still is unknown. I can think of some really good plots with these two, one including Rodolphus trying to win over her heart once again. The two were in the same year in Hogwarts, and hung out with the same people. They married soon after graduating, having loved each other at that time, and decided to join the Dark Lord together a year or so later. From there, Bellatrix was swept up and deluded herself into loving the Dark Lord. After the Dark Lord fell, he assisted Bella in torturing the Longbottoms, landing him in Azkaban for fourteen years. Recently, the two have escaped, along with eight more Death Eaters.
