Wincing as he surveyed the area, he slid his wand out from beneath his robes, and tapped his case to trigger it open. Looking about again, he lounged against the desk, facing the podium where he would usually be located. The sunlight crept in through the windows, illuminating the dust as it settled atop the empty desks and shelves. Usually by this time students would be greeted with decorations, stock, lessons, among other things... However, this year it seemed as if Ridley had a bit of a late start. He hadn't missed a lesson, oh no, he was far too reliable for that. It wasn't that he procrastinated giving his lectures, it had been that he had not moved into the Charms room next. The last two lessons had been held in the great hall, as he attempted to teach students how to cast protective charms in the larger facility.
However, it seemed it was time to move back home, so to speak. Save for the Library, there was nowhere else that felt quite as inviting to Ridley as the Charms Classroom, to which he spent most of his time. With a flip of a wand, the windows were cleaned, and the candles illuminated atop the chandelier that hung in the center of the room. Being a half blood, he preferred to do the rest the muggle way. By hand. Dragging his chest and laying it directly in front of the first bookshelf, he pulled out a stack of books and began to sort them by topic: Leaving room to stash the charms equipment in the cupboards below. Equipment was kept within small wooden boxes, each labelled with a silvery spell: First year, Second year, etc.
Not much time had past, when Ridley took a seat comfortably atop a desk, and poured himself a small cup of tea. It wasn't until then that he noticed he had not been alone. Not turning, and feeling quite secure in the classroom he simply stated: "Hello there, forgive me for not noticing you there sooner. If you would like, you're welcome to a cup of tea." His voice was pleasant, and it would be impolite not to share, which was something he never had a problem doing. Unsure who it was, he turned to face over his shoulder with a small smile to see... template by eliza @ shadowplay |

It was Fay. She had just gotten out of a horrible vision, some in this school knew by now what she could do others, not so much some students knew but she had no time to talk to the professors so she had left it at that. Her white cane was in front of her and she smiled slightly as she approached him. She put her fist over her heart and bowed. "Merry Meet Professor, forgive me" she apologized she had not meant to be here really, she had been just walking around not seeing or meeting anyone just getting reaquainted making sure things didn't change too much. "I take it that this is the Charms classroom, it was when I was here years and years and years ago" if she closed her eyes Fay could almost see she, her sister, her girlfriend and her best friend practicing different charms year after year only in her final year it had been just she and her sister and they had sat at the oppisite ends of the place. Professor Flitwick had well, not agreed but after the first lesson of the year where the two of them had started a duel and not the spells they had been taught, he had no choice but to let them.
"oh, forgive me my name is Fay" she explained as she swept the area with her cane before she approached him further. "I'd love some tea, thank you" she told him. The last thing she needed was to trip or anything so she made sure she had enough grip on her cane and what not. "M-May I sit down?" she asked pulling a strand of her strawberry blond hair from her face.

"Blessed be." He replied with a curt bow of the head, rising to his feet in the presence of a lady. He had been raised up to behave like a traditional gentlemen, and despite his attempts to break the proper form, he had never been able to shake it off quite. He had anticipated that his unexpected visitor would be a student, though he was pleasantly surprised when it was someone nearer in years to himself. His eyes lingered on her in confusion for a brief moment while she asked for forgiveness. After a moment he risked the assumption that it had been a polite way of excusing herself, and not that she was apologizing for doing something wrong. After all, she hadn't done anything wrong to speak of. Pouring the second mug of tea, he gently slid it to the seat across from where he had been seated for his guest. "Aye, this is the Charms classroom." He replied gently, gracing the young woman with a reassuring smile. "It's the beauty about Hogwarts though, isn't it? No matter how much time passes, certain elements always remain unchanged. It's comparable to returning home after a long vacation, is it not?"
"Oh, forgive me. My name is Fay."
He fought back a nervous chuckle. "Where are my manners? I'm Professor Ridley Covell, however, if you are not a student you can feel at liberty to simply call me Ridley." He teased, while occupying himself with pulling out a chair for Fay. "What kind of bloke would I be if I refused such a small request?" He asked, his arm pleasantly ushering her to take a seat, as he walked back around the table to take his own. "I'm a little disappointed to admit that I've not seen your face before, Fay." Her name rolled off his tongue like silk. "Might I inquire as to whether you are new? Or if I am merely unobservant?" template by eliza @ shadowplay |

Fay put her hand out making sure that she was near enough to the table than she took her hand back and felt for the back of the chair, knowing for sure now that she was not going to fall on her butt she sat on the chair. He knew the term Blessed Be, not many did know. She thought to ask about it later but she decided to tell him who she was it couldn't hurt and knowledge was power. "You have not seen me before Professor due to the fact that I had left the wizarding world fifteen long years ago, I've been in Manhattan since I graduated from Hogwarts" she told him as she pulled her hair out of her face again. Her black and yellow robe, signifying that she was of Hufflepuff house felt snug around her small frame. "As you can see I was a former Hufflepuff and my favorite subject was Charms" she wasn't lying there. She had loved to do different Charms spells in fact, her wand was known for being good with Charms work.
As she talked she took her white cane and folded it up four times until it became 1/4th of its original size. She put the cane next to her and drank the tea gratefully. “Thanks for having me, and for the tea too...I hope I'm not interrupting or being intrusive” She had not been too much around humans well not in a face-to-face format she had however talked to fans of her series through snail mail when she had been at New York. It was perhaps this reason that Fay was shy.
