To you, Wherever this letter ends up, I simply need to take a moment to vent, because we'll just leave it at stubborn men suck. Put plainly. *teardrop stains the paper here* Especially when they're hung up on dead people. I guess this teaches me to develop feelings. If he hadn't abandoned us in the first place none of this would have happened. Why can we not change the past?

Hoping this reaches the same you, Oh believe me, unless you happen to know a man who is as cold as stone, and totally head over heels about a woman who is unfortunately no longer alive, and all that's even left of her lineage is her son, you have no idea. I've nothing personal against the son either, but ... Well, his world revolves around them, so naturally some other people are left forgotten.
I have faced it head on, and I assure you it will only be a head-on-collision from now on. At least until he understands that Lily Evans the woman that he gave his heart to is not coming back. I apologize that I have continued to ramble on without even providing a name, so.. You can call me Eric. As for whether it changed anything, I cannot say.
Trust me when I say this man is impossible. -Eric [/blockquote]

Harry, Well, Sev's got a past see? He lost Lily Evans the one witch he loved, and she married a boy who bullied him a lot and had a child, and I think this child haunts him. =( I'm worried about him because he dwindles in the past, and I... I am in love with him.
He would probably see her if he looked in the mirror. Especially now. I've always been invisible, but we'll just leave it as nothing is nearly as simple as it once was. I really appreciate you listening... Or reading my rambles mate. There's no one, except Sev, who I could talk to.
God... Some days I wish I were a potion, at least then he'd see me.

Harry, Hello, I'm glad nothing bad happened to you. I started to get a little concerned. Thought maybe you fell off your high horse broom, for a while there, mate. =) I know a few others that would probably slay me for the same thing.
Potions Master? Oh, my... I had... NO idea that you knew him. I do hope I have not spoiled his reputation. He is a very good man underneath that mask of ice he likes to wear.
I'm ... happy to be of assistance... I think?
Severus has always had it tough. Nobody much liked him in school either, especially with the marauders parading around treating him as if he deserved no respect.. ... Don't ever tell him I told you this, but .. One of the womans friends nearly killed him as a prank. His whole life is a tragedy, and nobody can begin to scrape the surface of it unless they know him themselves.
If he looks at you that way, don't let it get to you.. If its as you say and Lily's your mother, I assure you his feelings are simply very deeply rooted, and its nothing you did that makes him act like the babbling monkey idiot that he can sometimes be.
I'd be more than happy to talk to you, however if my owls become less frequent, simply assume it is for your safety, Mr. Potter.

Hey there, Harry! Forgive the late delay, I had to go to Hogsmeade for a bit of an errand. It was rather eventful, so my apologies if it's been a few days.
How did your abstract turn out? I always struggled with potions myself, if it weren't for Sev, I'd have failed horribly. Herbology is a rather interesting subject, did you know that Aralune's only poison females? Interesting, isn't it? They also apparently create a rare fruit, and even rarer herb that can be used in potions... I suppose I've been reading too many potions books lately. Ron is one of your friends I assume?
Yes it really is Snape who would probably kill me if he caught me talking to you. I'll tell him sooner or later.
I worry about Severus .. I mean Potions Master? When did he become a ... I'll ask him. How do I address him to you? Professor? Snape? Severus? You have my word that he will not knock your head from your shoulders. I wouldn't forgive him if he did.
Oh my, I can see I've opened up a can of worms. You might as well find out through someone less involved though. Arguably I'm biased, but I only ever turned my wand on your father, Harry, because he turned his on Severus. I went to school with the lot of them. They called themselves the Marauders, and well... They let us have it a few thousand times. It was a real hell for us without the protection of the upper class students.
Hm. Your father saved Severus, yes. However, he was never particularly kind to him either. I wonder if Sev Professor Snape saw Ja- your father saving his life as more of a way to add insult to injury or as a mercy. I can't be certain. Sev Professor Snape keeps to himself a lot.
Your father wasn't a layabout drunk, by any means, Harry. However, he and his friends were rather hellacious toward Severus and his. I would know, I will admit to having crossed wands with a couple of your fathers friends a few times myself. Though, for what its worth, I would never have raised my wand against them if they hadn't been bullying us.
I am sorry things are getting 'testy' over there. I do hope things look up for you soon!
Cheers back! -Eric

Hello, Harry! I will leave it at the fact that I am not the perfect company to keep for someone like you, mate. However, I like you and am going against my better judgment to continue to stay in touch.
Oh! Congratulations, Harry! I'm sure that was well deserved. Nobody ever remembers everything until they've taught it a thousand times. I avoided everything regarding Herbology and Potions, mostly because back when I was in school they were heavily related. We had to grow our own potions ingredients. Fun right?
Nothing good. Nothing. Can come of potions. Except maybe Severus.
You should take a peek at Aralunes, they are quite interesting. Who is Hermione? Forgive me if you've told me all ready, sometimes I forget the simple things.
Harry, dear lord. Don't fight with trolls. Please. How did you even get your wand stuck up a trolls nose?
I'll always be most comfortable calling him Sev, or Severus, what else can be expected of someone who knew him as a kid, right? Ah, Dumbledore... Another hard name to forget. I think Sev would be a little mindboggled especially at me that I am talking to you, knowing his past with your father at Hogwarts.
Are you sure it is hate? Not simply jealousy? Of course Lupin and the other Marauders would not bash their leader after all these years, especially in front of you. Severus is a bit blind, Harry. For proof, I can offer that I've loved him for a good twenty years at least. It was love at first sight for me, he still fails to see me there, though I reckon it might just be that he's... More interested in women.
Careful who you bite, Harry. He can be quite... Intimidating. He's skilled with his wand as well, so do be careful.
Bullying is a touchy subject. Lupin, Black, Pettigrew, and Potter formed the Marauders. It's because of them the whole school hated us, with the exception of our house mates. They really had it out for us, broke my nose a few thousand times, and there were times when even I thought throwing a dark curse would have been a mercy.
It's fine to have much to say on the subject. I reckon nobody else has really told you openly about your father, James. Out of protection for you, I'd wager, but not even Severus would stand for James being a drunk, I assure you. James was intelligent, just a bit aggressive, and never knew when to stop. I never knew the good side of him, but I'm sure he wasn't all bad.
He was a Gryffindor after all.
Looking forward to your next letter, Eric PS - Your handwriting seems to be a bit hard to read here and there..
