YOU HAVE A CHOICE BETWEEN THE LISTING BELOW OR THE OVERALL PERSONALITY. DO NOT DO BOTH.
overall personality: Nagini is a very simple creature. Her desires lie among the most basic of ambitions. A warm place to sleep and a full belly is what drives Nagini most days, but there is a part of her that is less simple than most of her kin. There is an intellect to Nagini that is alien to most serpents, an intellect born of a man's soul intertwined within her own living body.
This intellect is what causes Nagini to be so deeply loyal to the Dark Lord - it is not so much that he can speak to her that keeps her by his side, but an alien feeling inside her that tells her she must do so.
Nagini's emotions are simpler than that of a human, but she is not without them. When ordered to kill someone, Nagini does not understand the concept of guilt, and nor does she feel as though this is immoral. To Nagini, there is no such thing as morals - there is no right and wrong. There is only food and the person who feeds you.

family:
Berus Father and Natris Mother
Nagini has over fifty-seven siblings. To list them would be preposterous.
overall history:Berus and Natris are not the sort of creatures that mate for life. Their interaction was brief and succinctly productive, resulting in the brood of Natris which bore Nagini into the world.
Natris guarded her brood, as her breed is wont to do, and was affectionate enough by snake standards. She ensured the survival of as many of her young as possible, which in the language of serpents is the closest thing to 'love' that they know.
Nagini left the nest at the typical age for such things and proceeded to hunt, sun herself and sleep - the typical life of your every day serpent - that is, until she met Tom Riddle.
The wizard spoke to her - the first two-legger to ever address her in the manner of her people. This anomaly intrigued her, and she found herself curious about the Boy Who Could Speak.
The more time Nagini spent in Tom's presence, the more she came to learn and realize about the world outside of every day happenings. He spoke of concepts that were wider than she was used to discussing, and the level of conversation often pleased her.
Naginig found she quite enjoyed Tom, especially when he said odd things that she didn't understand. She would question him and find herself learning, expanding her personal knowledge of him and the world he lived in. She learned a great deal about two-leggers, and while she felt they wasted too much effort in complexity, they did have their more entertaining uses.
As time passed, Nagini sensed changes in her two-legger friend, but she did not understand them. It was as though he were filled with the stench of death on the inside, like an ill animal one did not eat unless they wished to become ill themselves.
Nagini saw death as a natural thing and so did not express concern for Tom Riddle - concern, after all, was a primarily human emotion. When the day came that he changed her, Nagini came by her understanding of Tom's illness and understood little of its inherent evil. She knew only that something in her had changed, a strength was in her now that had not been there before.
She found, to her confusion, that death never came to her. When Tom left her to her devices, and she wandered the Forest eating and sleeping, sunning and thinking (an odd past-time for a snake) She noticed that she went by many, many moons, that the young she once had were old and dying, that their young grew old and died. Finally, she asked why this was and he told her that she had been granted an eternal life.
Nagini was not sure she liked this idea, as that was a lot of eating to do, but she said no more and followed along in her Master's footsteps peacably. When Harry Potter destroyed him, Nagini had felt a great pain she had not understood. She was alone, too wise to mingle amongst her own and too lonely after time not to.
When he finally found her again, Nagini felt emotion, more human than ever before and though it was alien to her, it was pleasant. She was happy to kill for him again - to be fed and spoken to by her human - and there was little else that mattered.
