Lupin the Pygmy is renowned for her bright green eyes that serve as a contrast to her fur. They are described as beady and msichevious. They often appear glossy and wet, and rather large, which add to her cuteness.

She is a medium haired pygmy, and her fur is poofy and pink. It is rather untame, and the structure of her fur has left her looking like a giant fluffball.

Lupin is actually rather large for a Pygmypuff, this is probably because both Eric and Severus are responsible for over-nurturing and spoiling the creature. Lupin isn't unhealthily obese, but she does have a few extra poofs.

Lupin is a fast pygmy, and seems to spend a lot of her time in the dungeons when Eric's missing. She is very attached to her owners, and she seems to have an easier time locating the Potions room than she has with finding the Transfiguration classroom. She is a troublemaker, and is capable of rivaling Peeves.[/li][/ul]

Like her softer master, Lupin really enjoys harassing Severus. The minute he's got his back turned this intelligent little pest will eat anything he has left unfiled. She seems to particularly enjoy parchment of any kind, and carrots. Though eating potions ingredients is hardly beyond the ordinary. She loves those little beetles.

It goes without saying that fuzzy things got to eat. And what better to eat than less fuzzy things that roam about freely through the castle? Shoelaces, homework, bugs, left overs in the great hall, you name it she'll eat it. She's also discovered that begging students, coupled with her cuteness, goes a long way.

Who doesn't like a nap after an eventful day of terrorizing Hogwarts to the magnitude of giving Peeves a run for his sanity? She has a little box dedicated in three rooms which Eric has kindly pillowed up for her and left food and water. Her three homes are located in the Potions Room, the Transfiguration Room, and the Living Quarters of Severus and Eric.

This is perhaps her favorite past time, as she seems to always be full of energy. She enjoys spending time with her owners, but she also seems to enjoy terrorizing students. Fighting with shoestrings, stealing wands, nibbling the corners of their textbook pages. While some students and faculty are greatly annoyed by the rodent, most of them fear Severus' wrath should they actualy harm the fluffball.

We've covered this before, but really, attention is the center of the universe for pets. Especially pet pygmys with controversially hated owners.

While Eric and Severus have laid out everything they could for this pygmy to poo on, Lupin will only relieve herself atop Rita Skeeters face. Severus has even mailed a copy to Skeeter asking for an autograph to potty train Lupin better... Rita had been appalled by this gesture and denied fan signatures for poofy pink pooping pygmys.

Pygmy's are bred magically to take on personality attributes of their owners, so it's only fitting that the Gryffindor created hellspawn favors Slytherin House now isn't it?

Generally this is highly entertaining to Eric, though he keeps his mouth shut, as the Pygmy knocks books, or alarm clocks onto Severus' head. If the area is left cleared, items mysteriously appear in their stead. Even if Severus sleeps with his head away from objects. The mystery is unsolved.

This possibly has something to do with her closeness to Severus and the spell that she was created on, allowing her to take on the personalities of her owners. Gryffindors seem to be her favorite targets.

overall history: Lupin, the pygmypuff, was an experimental success for the Weasley Twins, and their plans to sell them in their future prank shop. Unfortunately, their plans met success in the wrong place at the wrong time. Professor
Eric, on the other hand, upon finding out about the fluffy miracle, begged Snape to keep it. Snape ended up at the conclusion that it was not his to give away. Eric argued that it needed love, and food, and water to survive, and began to cry. Tears winning the puff from Severus.
As time progressed, both professors came to love the terrorist pygmy, and spoiled it accordingly. Eric even sees it as their first child. Ironically, Snape shows some sort of Snape-like affection for the creature as he is not below chasing it through the school if it means keeping it safe to prevent Eric from flipping a lid.

The two boys giggled over her as she squeaked up at them in reply, excited as they were, nibbling on the corner of their Potions book. She failed to notice, naive to the ways of the world, the third, less appreciated capture snatching her off of the table. Being lifted higher to be examined,, her emerald eyes stared back at the giant black orbs that stopped before her. Squeaking a hello she bit his hook nose affectionately. The big black eyes were not very friendly. Squeaking in fear, Lupin ran up the mans sleeve, beneath his cuff, hoping to find refuge in his robe away from his eyes.
Once safe in the darkness, Lupin began to nibble away at the cloth that formed the robe for comfort, finding the dark contrast against the white skin rather tasty. It smelled funny too. Whatever this man was working with, he had quickly become the most interesting thing in this room.
