Ben couldn't quiet get the hang of things around Hogwart's. It wasn't hard to get frustrated , being new in such a place. There were so many bloody floors, and he had to remember what class was held on what floor. Not to mention that every time he wanted to get to a certain floor, he wasn't going to have a clue as to where he'd end up once he stepped foot onto a moving staircase. He had been late to nearly all of his classes, which was excused for most first years until the second week.
It was right after transfiguration class and Ben had some free time, which he wanted to spend in the Great Hall or the Common Room, both places in which he was likely to run into someone else. He hadn't met many people yet ad he wanted to start getting social so that he didn't have to deal with the school alone. He knew that once he started talking to someone, he'd feel much better, though he was in complete shyness mode until he was to find out where his classes were held.
Ten minutes had passed and Ben wasn't even sure where he had ended up. He could have been on the same floor on which he started for all he knew, really. Quickly growing agitated, he looked around and ran down one corridor to see where it led. To his dismay, they all looked the same. He had not a clue what floor he was on and there weren't many people in the halls since classes were going on. He could have gone into a room to ask a professor for assistance, however walking into a room full of seventh years was one of the last things he wanted to have to do. That was a last resort, meaning he was more likely to jump out a window just to get to the ground floor.
As he turned to run back down the corridor, he bumped right into someone. Ah, I'm sorry! I was trying to find the..I mean.. I was running and.. Better start that over, Ben. Ah, I'm sorry! His eyes narrowed in frustration with his inability to go spend his free time without bothering anyone. Before he even looked at the person, he felt a knot in his stomach. It could have been a Slytherin, or an older student, and he or she may not have been tolerant in a situation where they were knocked into a first year.

Ginny had been wandering the halls of the third floor before her charms class. It was her first class of the day and she arrived early, having finished her breakfast at an unusually fast pace. Actually, she hadn't had anything to eat this morning, because she arrived just a few minutes late to breakfast and had her food eaten-stolen-by Ron. Ginny was hardly surprised, though she was annoyed, and they had a rather interesting conversation before they got into a fight. Instead of getting flustered over nothing as she usually did, she made a big step in working towards fixing her temper by just walking away. Ginny would not get in any more trouble for using bat bogey hexes, even though they are extremely fun and amusing. Therefore, she roamed the fairly empty halls outside the room, waiting for Flitwick to come in. He was always late, so it would take a bit extra for him to make it there. It was probably because of his height; Flitwick only stood at three feet, so his legs could only carry him so far and so fast. Ginny huffed and puffed and leaned up on the wall, then slid down until her but hit the ground. She was bored to heck, and it wasn't like she could study for anything. Charms class was so easy, a monkey could do it.
After a good ten minutes or so, Ginny gave up on trying to sit still and started wandering again, this time not really paying attention to anyone or anything around her. You could say she was rather shocked as she felt a small body collide with hers at full speed, forcing her to take a step back to stop from falling. "Excuse you." She said before actually realizing what, or rather who, she had bumped into. It was just a boy, definitely a first year by the looks of it. He only came up to about Ginny's shoulder, which was an accomplishment because Ginny was short. It felt good to be tall for once. "It's okay." she said coolly. When she looked at the boy, he immediately reminded her of Lilith. He had that same kind of sweet innocence to him. "Lost?" She asked, taking in his demeanor. Definitely lost. Ginny thought to herself. There was something inside of her that did not want to connect with another young kid such as he, but the situation that happened with Lilith was a rare one, so there was a good chance nothing like that would resurface. The look on her face wasn't friendly, though it wasn't angry or upset either. She was still annoyed at what happened during breakfast, but was determined not to lash out at the poor Hufflepuff. Maybe she could ask him to go find something for her.
