Lav,Do you think it's true that short hair is back? I know we read it in Witch Weekly, but I can't even imagine cutting my hair. I had a nightmare about it last night. I'm too afraid to tell Professor Trelawney because what if she says it's proof that I have to do it? I love my long hair. Plus, my parents would kill me. On the bright side, people would be able to tell the difference between Padma and me. I mean, obviously the different house badges aren't enough a clue. Do you think Dean guys would like me with short hair though? Pav

Pav,
Godric I hope not! I love my hair! And what if I cut it and it looks like Hermione's awful and gets really frizzy and then none of my hair potions work on it! I think it only looks good because it's so heavy right now!
I won't cut my hair if you won't cut your hair! I think blokes love our long hair! I mean, we would be equally good looking with short hair, but why mess with a good thing? Right?

P.S. Anyone with half a brain can tell you and Padma apart!
P.P.S. I think we should try that new accent nail thing though! For the next quidditch match I'm going to do all my nails red except for my index ones! They can be gold!

Oh good! I never even thought about how that could affect our hair. I could never live if my hair got really frizzy. How does Hermione do people walk around like that? I'd be so embarrased and afraid to leave my dorm. You never know when that Creevey kids is going to take pictures. We'll be trend setters with long hair when the rest of the Wizarding world has those silly short haircuts. We should wake up early and do all sorts of fun things that you can only do with long hair, just to make short-haired people regret that decision. I agree about the nails though. I think the Gryffindor colours is such a great way to show your support! I'll need to think about what to do with my nails. It'll give me something to think about in Potions today. Too bad Snape always tries to catch us writing notes. I'll have to write down my ideas so I can tell you about them later.

Right? Just think about how awful it would be to have to add another potion to your morning routine! It would be totally worth it, of course, but then you'd have to get up 5 minutes earlier and that might mean you'll get bags under your eyes which means you'll have to get up even earlier to put concealer on them!
Soon we won't be able to sleep at all! It's better to leave our routine the same! Morning plaits or buns or whatever, and then we can get that extra sleep for when that fourth year take our photo!
I don't know why Snape gets so mad about it! You know he doesn't want any Gryffindors to take his class next year anyway. And I certainly don't want to be there... Reading Witch Weekly under my desk benefits both of us! I get valuable layering tips, and he knows he has one less Gryffindor to teach!

P.S. What do you think that kid does with all those photos of everyone?

It's a really endless cycle. No wonder Hermione doesn't care about looking good. With how early she would have to wake up and how late she already stays up, she would never get any sleep. If I were her, I'd probably just let my hair go crazy, too. Well, no, I wouldn't, but I might consider it. Oh please don't even mention those stupid O.W.L.'s. Between my parents and the professors, I can't stop thinking about them. I don't want to go weeks without sleep. Can you imagine what that would do to my complexion? I'll need to do serious makeup correction, but I won't have time because I'll be studying. I hope I have a steady boyfriend by that point who won't care what I look like because he too will be so pressured to study. I don't think he wants to teach anyone next year, or ever. Why doesn't he just get a new job? All of the other professors seem to want to be professors except him. Do you think that whatever he wanted to grow up to be never worked out, so he had to take a professor job instead? Oh no, what if I fail my O.W.L.'s and have to become a professor? Oh, that'd be awful! I would hate the students, too. But I'd at least let them read Witch Weekly. It's still reading. I'm pretty sure he's waiting for us to become famous so we can sign the pictures and then he can sell them for a profit. He knows we'll be famous one day, so I can't hate him too much.

To the glamour girls, Couldnt help but read this letter that fell on me, my apologies. I see you're talking about fashion and boys... This is an interesting subject... You see I visited Hogwarts not long ago, and there were these students that looked like they needed a fashion chart of some sort... course Severus is still dressing like a bat... What on earth?
PS - Snape mashes his potatoes with his toes. PSS- I know something you don't know... Signed,
Harry Prof. Snape [/blockquote]
