Dolores Umbridge is described as a toad. She is short and stout and can be seen wearing a pink cardigan with a big pink atop her formerly mouse brown hair. Dolores has brown eyes that never appear friendly. Dolores carries herself quite snobbishly, she believes that as a pureblood she it better than all others, and makes sure she is treated as such. Dolores has a signature smile that looks menacing and just a little insane, mostly children see this smile.

Dolores Umbridge had a very insignificant childhood. At 11 years old she got a letter from Hogwarts and attended the school. She was sorted into Hufflepuff, but the majority of her friends were in Slytherin. Her friends, however, preferred to follow He Who Must Not Be Named, while Dolores knew that she did not want to follow a criminal.[/color][/font]
Because of this, Dolores made her way into politics, knowing this was the best way for her to do something about the problem of the muggleborns. Dolores did well with politics. She soon made her way to the position of Senior Undersecretary for the Minister of Magic. She also became part of the Wizengamot and used her positions of power to her advantage.
Dolores's greatest acheivement was her draft of anti-werewolf legislation which made it almost impossible for werewolves to get a job. She also attempted to have the merpeople tagged, but this was never accepted. Dolores has her current job at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry because of Educational Decree Number 22. She plans on "fixing" the school to the veiws of the ministry.

Dolores sat at the table calmly. She was not worried. She knew she would get her way this meeting. She knew Cornelius very well and it was almost too easy now to manipulate him. He was late, as he often was now. He hurried in the room apologizing for his tardiness and sat down at the head of the table. "Well then, shall we begin?" he asked and turned to a wizard on his right for news about his department. Dolores leaned back in her chair. She was on the other side of Cornelius, her turn to speak would not be for a long while yet.
She was calm when her turn finally came. Her face was relaxed, a small smile on her face as she nodded cordially at the witch that had just finished talking. She turned to the minister and began her speech.
"Ahem," she said loudly, waking up a small wizard who had fallen asleep in the corner. "As we all know, Harry Potter has just been aquitted for the crime of performing magic in front of a muggle. While he has been cleared of this charge, I have still found my thoughts plaged by his attitude. He seemed to find his crime minor, which we all know is the exact opposite." she said with a specific look at Cornelius.
"'I believe I have realized the problem. It is Hogwarts."
The entire company gasped. The room was filled with whispers and accusations. Ahem. The room went quiet and Dolores smiled a bit. " We all saw how Albus Dumbledore stood up to our esteemed Minister, and it has crossed my mind that he is trying to steal our minister's position and has taught his students not to respect the rules that our Ministry has passed for the good of Wizarding kind. Dolores now had the attention of all in the room, none dared to fall asleep now. " I propose that we send a ministry worker into the school under the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor to keep an eye on the school and, of course, Albus Dumbledore."
The room erupted into sound, but Dolores did not care about the rest of the room. She cared about one person, who happened to be sitting on her left. She peeked at the minister and saw the fury on his face as his suspicious politician mind transformed all of Dumbledore's acts into plots to take his position. Dolores could see on his face what he would say before he opened his mouth, and she smiled in victory.
"Dolores is right! Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and especially it's headmaster, has become too detached from the ministry and it's rules. It is becoming a danger and we need to remedy this. I will appoint Dolores Umbridge as Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts in Educational Decree Number 22. All those who second the motion please raise your wands now.
This was a crucial point in her plan, but Dolores could see that it was not an issue. The minister's supporters hands raised immediately and the look in the ministers eyes convinced enough others that Dolores knew she would have to start packing her bags. "It's settled then, the minister said triuphantly, Dolores, we trust that you will be able to take care of the problem at Hogwarts and we bessech you to remember that the ministry is always on your side and ready to help".
The rest of the ministry might not have been able to hear the double meaning in that sentence, but Dolores did and she smiled. Soon she would have complete control of Hogwarts School of Wtichcraft and Wizardry and she would easily be able to dispose of Albus Dumbledore, not to mention Harry Potter, who had said far too much. Dolores smiled, knowing that no job would give her as much pleasure as this one.
