A heavy sigh left Fleur's lips as she closed the front door to Gringotts and stepped out onto the cobble stone street. It had been an incredibly slow day there and to top it off, her and Bill were not on the same schedule. There for she didn't get to see him today. She enjoyed working with him, it seemed to make slow days go by faster. Of course it did, Fleur was spending the day with her lover and not looking at the clock every chance she got. But work was work and she shouldn't complain, especially if it was helping her with her English.
Fleur immediately straightened her back as she began to walk down the street, it wasn't very crowded. But there was still a good amount of pedestrians on it. Fleur moved back and forth as she dodged others gracefully and gave them a warm smile in return. A young wizard caught sight of her and stopped in his tracks, his eyes large as he stared. Fleur's deep blue eyes looked towards him and he quickly turned his head as she went to walk away. A soft laugh left her lips as she saw this, the boy who was too bashful reminded her of Ron and how he used to stare at her during the Triwizard tournament.
Her body was dressed in a nice dark blue tailored dress with brass buttons, her hair twirled up in a bun and dark brown pumps on her feet. Fleur was currently in her professional attire, but in all honesty she wanted something more flowy. It was summer after all. Her hand reached up as she tucked a piece of her silvery blond hair behind her ear. With out warning she nudged someone in the crowd and she gasped, quickly turning around to apologize "pardonnez-moi" she spoke out a suprise only to see who it was. Her deep blue eyes looked at the familiar red hair that was all to well known. But she didn't have to look at the hair to particularly tell who it was"Ginny?"

Ginny had been out roaming Diagon Alley, in search for a new potions book. Her own copy had been destroyed by Lavender Brown, who had accidentally spilled her quill ink all over the pages. Fresh ink and old potions books don't mix, to say the least. After controlling her anger towards the rather dimwitted Gryffindor (she wasn't worth getting in trouble, besides she needed to learn to keep her temper in check), she just shared a book with Terry Boot for the week. Now it was the weekend, and Gin had gotten permission to go off grounds to obtain a new text book, since the class just happened to not have any spare copies. Snape didn't want her sharing books for the rest of the year for reasons he didn't explain. The few galleons she had were going to have to be spent on a text book in a class she neither liked, nor exceeded in. Though, she was kind of glad that she'd being going off on her own for a little bit. But when Mum found out what she'd spent the hard earned galleons on, she was going to have a field day. It was not going to be fun, to say the least. That money was supposed to be for other things, for emergencies, or better yet not even spent.
After apparating into Diagon Alley with Professor McGonagall, they went their separate ways. They were to meet back in an hour after Gin hopefully got her textbook. Who knew what McGonagall was doing, Gin got away from her as soon as they made it there. Supervision wasn't exactly fun. She made her way to Flourish and Blotts and trolled through their textbook section, relieved when she pulled out a used copy of the potions book that wasn't completely beat. It was only half the price of a new copy too! She would have galleons left. Maybe her mother wouldn't be too annoyed after all. Gin went up to the counter and paid. Two galleons, not bad at all, she thought to herself pleasantly. There were still galleons weighting her down, so to speak, and she had a sudden urge to spend them. She never had money to spend. Perhaps an ice cream would be a nice treat; Gin could really go for some pumpkin ice cream. Ice cream was only seven sickles; she could pay that back to her mum if she had to. Her mind was made. Time to get ice cream!
Gin walked to the ice cream shop right across the way and stood in the line the was dangerously close to curving outside. The ice cream was so good that the line was always this long, if not longer. Even during the winter seasons it was open and booming. It took another ten minutes to get to the line and get a small pumpkin ice cream in a cone. She licked it happily as she walked out. Ginny was happy with her new book and her ice cream as she walked through the Alley. She was rather startled when she ran into someone. In the process, the ice cream scoop fell out of the cone, and her book almost fell right out of her hands and into another mess. She was rather peeved that her ice cream was gone, and was going to let the person know it. Though, Ginny heard an oh too familiar voice speaking to her in French, and then she heard her name in an annoying accent. She turned and looked at the blond woman in front of her. "Hello, Phleg-Fleur." She corrected herself quickly.
Oh lovely, it was Fleur. Bill had been dating her for awhile, and well, Ginny didn't like her very much. She was almost arrogant, even snooty. She didn't understand why Bill would date such a cow; and someone who was so young too! Gin had to be civil to her of course (or she would never hear the end of it from Bill), but it didn't mean she had to necessarily be nice. She forced a small smile, despite her annoyance.

Fleur's deep blue eyes went from the Weasley sibling to her ice cream on the ground. She knew Ginny didn't like her much and of course making the girl drop her ice cream didn't help. But her head tilted a little as Ginny almost called her something else, exactly what was she going to call her? Fleur wanted to ask but instead she just let it go. She stood there and let it go silent for a moment finally asking, "What was zat?"
a hint of suspicion in her voice, her eyebrow arching. In all honesty she didn't understand why Mrs. Weasley or Ginny didn't care for her. Sure she was blunt and critical but it was better to speak your mind then not at all. At least she wasn't rude to Bill and Bill most certainly wasn't rude to her. They genuinely liked, maybe even loved each other. But still Fleur tried to get on their good side, or to make them see. Maybe Fleur would have a chance to show them just the type of woman she was soon. Her deep blue eyes as she uncomfortable moved her weight to her other leg. Fleur was hardly uncomfortable except when it came to these instances. "What are you 'ere for?" Fleur asked yet another question as she motioned at the ice cream "I could get you another, zince et waz my fault" she spoke with a small smile. After all she was only being polite.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Ginny raised her eyebrows at Fleur's question. Crap, she really had to be more careful with that nickname... "What was what?" She said, clearly annoyed. Gin would play stupid until that subject was dropped. Wouldn't want Fleur finding out and Bill getting mad, now would she? "I thought you were someone else at first. My friend, uh Phoebe.." she said coolly, wondering how far Fleur would push the subject. Really, how could Gin ever mistake Phlegm for someone else? She was rather, ehem, unique. "Yes, for a second I thought it was her. Same hair, same shape. An honest mistake." Shut up. She thought to herself. The more she rambled, the more suspicious Fleur would become. Usually, Ginny was rather good at lying, but things were a tad different, a tad uncomfortable around Miss Delacour.
They stood there awkwardly in the hustle and bustle of Diagon Alley. Every so often, she would get bumped by someone or wacked by a bag. What a perfect place to have a conversation. The meeting of the two of them was already strange enough, why not make it worse? And to top it off, Fleur looked beautiful and sophisticated as usual, while Ginny was....well, a hormonal teenager. Ginny self consciously pulled down her jumper and tucked her hair behind her ears. There was no way she would ever be jealous of Phlegm, no, no, no. Well, Ginny always did say that Bill was only going out with Phlegm to get a little "glamour" in his life. She watched her ice cream drip down the alley and into the little cobblestone cracks in the pathway. That's what she got for buying ice cream when she wasn't supposed to.
"Well, I was here to pick up a potions textbook. A rather dimwitted classmate spilled ink all over my old copy." Dimwitted, yeah, that was a word for Lavender. She also figured it was somewhat obvious she had came to get the textbook. I mean, no one carries around a potions book for fun reading material. Except maybe 'Mione, but really, she didn't count...Wait, what was this? Was Phlegm actually attempting to be nice? Ginny was impressed; she would have thought Fleur would just lecture her about holding ice cream correctly so it wouldn't fall or something. Perhaps Fleur wasn't that mean and it was all in her mind. Whatever the case, she wasn't going to pass up a free ice cream, no matter who it came from. "Um, yeah. Brilliant."
She started heading off to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor. The line had gone down considerably. Good, the less time with her the better. It was all going to be awkward conversation, no matter what they said. Though, standing there saying nothing would be worse. "So, um, are you and Bill and staying for Christmas?" She had hear her Mum complaining talking about it a few weeks ago. Something about not having enough room, when honestly Ginny was sure Mum just didn't want her there. Ginny almost keeled over when she said, if Fleur somehow did manage to come, that she'd be sharing Ginny's room. Her and Ginny in the same room?! It was like a recipe for disaster. She stood behind the people in line and looked at Phlegm for an answer.

Fleur's eyebrow remained arched as she listened to Ginny's explanation, Phoebe. In all honesty it didn't sound like she was going to say Phoebe but Fleur decided to let it go. It was tough already trying to get on the Weasley women's good side and she didn't want to make it worse with a little tift. Instead she decided to cross her arms and wait for Ginny's other responses, though she was still suspicious. Her eyes moved from Ginny to the book as she got a better look at it, of course it was a text book. But in all honesty, Ginny could have been studying randomly at Diagon Alley during the school year. Ok so that was far fetched but Fleur didn't keep tabs on Ginny, actually she hardly knew her.
"I would 'ave made ze dim witted ztudent pay for mon new text book"
she spoke matter of factly with a nod of her head. There was no way she would have let that student slide off so easily, it was rude of the other student to do such a thing and not pay attention. Fleur let her arms fall as she heard Ginny's answer and she smiled gently "Oh good good" she spoke gently as she walked with her to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor. Fleur stayed behind Ginny as she looked at the list of flavors, so many different varieties. But in the end Fleur decided not to get anything. Her dark blue eyes looked down at Ginny and she gave her a weak smile, biting her bottom lip. "Well Bill wantz to,'e wantz me to get to know ze family more...but I'm zure your mother won't be pleazed" she spoke gently before adding "Zhe doezn't like me very much, obviouzly" she spoke as she cleared her throat and the line moved up more. "Zough I'm zure I will 'ave to bring zomezing to keep me entertained" Fleur spoke again with a light sigh. Reaching up she pushed her hair back into its bun as she tried to keep it contained. "Get whatever you'd like Ginny" she spoke quietly to her. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
