As she snuck out of the Slytherin Common Room, Crystal was glad about a few things. The first would have to be the fact that Professor Snape was probably either in his quarters...or roaming around the corridors on some other part of the castle, which would leave less of a chance of her getting caught. At least she hoped that would be the case. She didn’t want to explain why she was out after curfew AGAIN…and she doubted that he would buy the whole excuse of her not being able to sleep. So, she was hoping the man actually was in another part of the castle and nowhere near the dungeons. Otherwise, she just might be screwed even though he was her Head of House. As she pulled out her wand and whispered a quiet lumos spell, Crys ended up finding her thoughts drifting once again to her uncle, and the fact that she didn’t actually understand what was going on with him.
Did it truly matter though? The only thing that should was the fact that the man was trying to force her into something that she didn’t wish to do of her own freewill. A fact that she hated altogether, because she had never known her uncle to be that cruel. But, still despite the fact that she was thinking of her problems with her uncle, she still needed to figure out a proper excuse as to why she was out after curfew. Oh joy, she was just begging to get into trouble, especially since she was once again doing something that she had vowed not to do again. After all, she could’ve easily paced around in her common room until she felt tired. But, for reasons of her own, she decided that wandering the school would help her better. A stupid notion, of that she was sure off. But, one that she had taken upon herself to do, even if it got her in trouble from time to time.
As she was taking another step, Crys could’ve sworn that she saw someone coming in the direction that she was about to head in. Crap. Even as she thought that, she flicked her wand ending the lumos spell with a whispered ‘nox. If she was extremely lucky, might’ve just been a shadow, but knowing how her luck might end up, she was possibly going to get into trouble.[/size]

Nymphadora was walking around the castle. Now she found herself in the dungeons. It was part of her job now. Patrolling the castle. It wasn't that bad really. It was better than being by the side of Umbridge. Of course Umbridge would be wanting a report later of if Tonks found or saw anything that shouldn't be. She sighed. She prayed she didn't. That way she wouldn't have to lie or anything. She would rather not waste her breath with Umbridge.
She was taking her time. Walking slowly. Then that's when she saw a small light. Where was that coming from? She followed it, heading towards the light. Taking out her wands she casted a lumos spell. In front of her stood a student. A female student. "May I ask what exactly you are doing out at this time of night. All students are suppose to be in the common rooms." she asked.

As the figure came into view, Crystal didn’t know whether she should let out a sigh of relief over the fact that it hadn’t been Snape. Or, one of frustration because she actually was caught out of her common room. As she looked at the pink-haired woman, Crystal felt one of her eyebrows raise. Who in their right mind would actually walk around with their hair that color? But, then she wondered exactly who this person was, after all she wasn’t a professor. So, did that mean that she was one of those people sent to spy on Hogwarts by the Ministry? Crystal wasn’t so sure. All she knew was that this was someone that she could probably trick.
As she heard the woman’s question, Crystal’s arms went across her chest as she looked at the strange pink haired woman. “Well, you see I would be in my common room…if it wasn’t for the fact that I’ve been spending the entire night searching for my transfiguration book. I’ve searched the girl’s dorm and I was just going to sneak into the library to see if I had left it in there.” That wasn’t the complete truth, but there was no way that she was going to tell this woman that she was out of the common room, simply because she couldn’t sleep. Just as long as a certain head of house didn’t show up, while she was having this conversation. Then again, if she was escorted back to the Slytherin Common room, then she could always wait a few seconds, to make sure the woman left, and then leave again. [/size]

Tonks looked the young girl over. If she had to guess Tonks would say fourth or fifth year student. It didn't matter though. The students weren't suppose to be out at this hour, especially alone. And Tonks wasn't buying her excuse. Tonks remembered being young and sneaking out of the common rooms during her school years.
"That still doesn't excuse the fact that your out when your not suppose to be. Well let's head over to the library to look for that book." she said cheerfully. She moved out of the way of the student so that they could start heading to the library. "What house are you in?"

Crystal smirked slightly to herself when the woman didn’t automatically insist on taking her back to her common room. She already knew that if this had been Snape that she had run into that the lie of going to the library to look for a book wouldn’t have worked. Not to mention that she actually had used that excuse on him one of the times that he had caught her, as well as the kitchen excuse, and possibly others. The man just seemed to know that she was lying and made sure that she went straight back to the Slytherin Common Room. She would just have to remember not to use that excuse again, if she encountered this person in the near future.
”I know that, but it’s either risk failing my O.W.L.S., not doing my homework assignment, or sneaking out in order to search for my missing book. I picked the last of those options.” she replied with a brief smirk. As she passed the woman so that they could go to the library, Crystal stopped herself from freezing when she was asked about her house. ”Why? So, you can tell him that you caught me out after curfew?” She was lucky that she wasn’t wearing her school robes at the moment, otherwise the woman could easily figure out that she was in Slytherin. But, really what other house was located in the dungeons? Were ministry workers that dense? Or, was it just this one? She just hoped that they didn’t run into Professor Snape, or she would be seriously screwed. "What's up with your hair, if you don't mind me asking?"[/size]

They walked to the library. "Slytherin huh? Good to know for future reference. Technically I'm suppose to. Tell him and Umbridge." she said, thinking of that woman in disgust. "Unless you rather tell me why you were really doing out? That may save us both a trip to the library where I'm sure neither of us really wants to go." she said stopping them in the corridor. "Don't think I can't tell a lie when I hear one." she said. She's an Auror. Trained by Moody. One aspect of that is being able to tell a lie from the truth.
She wasn't surprised by the girl's question about Nymphadora's hair. "Potion gone wrong. I'm still trying to work it out. So, are you going to tell me the real reason you were out or are we going to be here all night? " she asked seriously.

Okay, so maybe some ministry workers weren’t that dense. She then let out a brief sigh, because with the way this was going to end up it was probably going to end up with them running into Snape after all. Yay lectures about how curfew was important and possibly a detention to go along with it. “Why tell him something he already knows anyway? He’s already caught me...” she then held up one of her hands. “One...two...just make that way too many times to count. It’ll just be another boring lecture about why I shouldn’t be roaming the corridors. One that I won’t pay any attention to, and I’ll just be out here another night.” She then smirked. “But, luckily for me he’s being occupied by Professor Avery. You know the one. Somewhat cute, kissed Professor Snape on the cheek during that welcoming party thing.” But, she would have to secretly admit that she didn’t want to head to the library for no reason at all.
She then shrugged again before leaning against one of the walls. “When did that become any of your business, Miss Pink Hair? You’re not one of my professors, besides I’m sure that the only reason you’re here is to be Umbridge’s stool pigeon.” And, the last part was only said only because Crystal couldn’t stand the toad. Because, there were probably better D.A.D.A. teachers then one that wouldn’t do anything. Still, just because this woman saw through her lie, it didn't mean that she was going to mention anything concerning her uncle.[/size]

So this isn't the first time she's been caught huh? Figures. Tonks wasn't going to tell Snape. That didn't mean she had to let this girl know that. Nymphadora wasn't liking her attitude very much either. "I can see why your a Slytherin. Plus, if you couldn't tell my hair isn't pink. It's purple." it was true. Her hair had been purple this entire time. Perhaps when she had first seen the girl it was pink but since then it had changed its colored. She even put her wand to her hair so she could see that it was purple. "Are you always this disrespectful to people you've just met or was I just the lucky person tonight."

“I try.” she stated seeing as though it was the absolute truth. In her mind, Slytherin probably suited her better than any of the houses in Hogwarts. At least that was the one that she was the happiest in. Crystal had no clue what she would’ve done, if she had been placed in Hufflepuff, or perhaps Gryffindor. As the woman mentioned that her hair was purple and not pink, before raising her wand to prove that point, Crystal’s eyes narrowed in suspicion. She could’ve sworn that her hair had been pink when she had first been spotted by the woman. “Metamorphmagus.” she whispered under her breath. Potions mishap her foot. If her suspicions were correct then this woman could change her appearance at will. When the woman asked if she was always this respectful, Crystal really didn’t have an answer to that. She would admit that she had a bit of a temper, but she had only becoming this moody...this disrespectful as the woman put it recently. Unless, she had hidden that part of her better than anything else. “Not sure. It might’ve been something that I picked up during the summer. But, then again aren’t all Slytherins supposed to act that way? So, maybe I’m acting the way you believe all Slytherins do?” That was actually the truth, seeing as though mostly everyone in the other houses all thought that anyone placed in Slytherin were going to turn out to be evil wizards. Oh wait, that simply means that there was the chance of her turning out like her uncle.[/size]

This girl was something else that was for sure. "And yes I am a Metamorphmagus in case you already suspected that." she knew that her little potion mishap lie wouldn't hold up. Not like she was really trying to make it hold up. She had just said that sarcastically. She really didn't care. The question though was this girl all talk or was this really how she was? People pretended to be different than who they were all the time. "Are you going to let a house define you? Besides, I've seen some Slytherins that could actually be good people if they weren't being pressured by the more obnoxious bunch." .

Crystal would safely admit that having the ability to change her ability at will would be extremely useful, especially if she wanted to take off from her uncle, if his demands got too great. As she heard the woman’s next words, Crystal ended up looking at the floor, before looking at the woman almost coldly. “Tell that to the Gryffindors, with their biased view of the world that people can only be good or evil. They’re the ones who judge someone as evil just because they are sorted into my house. And, they do it without even getting to know the person, and they wonder why the rivalry between our houses is so strong.” she sadly said. Tell that to my uncle who expects me to follow in his footsteps. As she thought that, Crystal raised her head to look at the woman. “With the way you view things, I suspect you might’ve been a Hufflepuff. As for being pressured, it’s not anyone in this school that I have to worry about...they’re not the ones trying to make me do anything.” Even as she spoke those words, Crystal was hoping that this woman wouldn't ask her what she meant by that. Nymphadoar noticed the young girl's look when she started going on about Gryffindor. "Mr. Potter seemed to be thinking otherwise at the dance. If I'm not mistake he walked in with a Slytherin and they looked like they were enjoying each other's company." Of course the scene that Ron had made would say he wasn't exactly on the same boat but either Crystal would already have known that or she wouldn't. "You're right about that. I was in Hufflepuff during my years. And yes, I wasn't exactly friends with anyone in Slytherin but I didn't hate them unless they did something I didn't like. Plus, most of my mother's family were in Slytherin. Granted I don't get along with them, at all but that is because of who they are and not because of what house they were in."
Tonks thought for a moment about what Crystal said. "This is the way I see it. Yes, your a Slytherin. Your a pretty girl with a smart head on your shoulders. I would say your very protective of yourself. Maybe now more than ever for whatever reason of your own. I don't doubt you have friends that you probably care about. You don't like the Gryffindors because they automatically think your obnoxious and what not like the Slytherins think Gryffindors are a bunch of goody goody wusses. That tells me you dislike judgemental people which I don't blame you." she started, hoping nothing she had said was wrong yet. She would look like a total fool if she was. "Now I'm going to say that things have perhaps changed a bit in your life recently and I'm not talking about the new professors. Something at home since you said it isn't anyone at Hogwarts that's pressuring you into doing something. Wel,, the way I see it is that if your tough enough to risk another one of Snape's ridiculously boring lectures then your tough enough to fight for what you want which I'm guessing isn't what your being pressured into doing."

[/div] Something in the Way she Moves
Crystal was about to ask what the woman meant, when she remembered that it was probably the same party, in which she heard about Professor Avery kissing Snape. She had only heard of certain events, and Potter attending it with a Slytherin as well as the Professor Snape/Professor Avery thing was another. She had of course decided not to attend, because she didn’t dance. Well...that was a complete lie seeing as though she had gone to the Yule Ball last year. But, that was only because one of her friends had asked her to go with him. But, the one in question at the moment, she had decided to skip. And, the true reason why was something that wasn’t coming out so easily. However, a Slytherin dating a Gryffindor did seem a little odd. At least that was what she thought. Was it something that Potter decided on at the last moment?
Oh well, it wasn’t like she was going to ask him that question, especially seeing as though the red-haired boy he hung out would do nothing but look at her like she had grown a second head. She had figured out that most Gryffindors weren’t worth trying to get along with in her first year. “No, I dislike Gryffindors because they always seems to think that I’m going to hex them behind their backs. But, I can’t be blamed if I get revenge if one of them messes with me or any of my friends.” That part was a little true, so far she only had to hex those who dared to attack either herself or someone she that happened to be friends with. There were a few times she hexed someone for calling her Winty, but those didn’t exactly count. As she continued to listen to this woman talk, she stood there frozen. This woman had been able to read her correctly about her disliking judgmental people. “You’re right, I don’t. A person should be judged by their actions...not by what House they were sorted into...or their family.” She then chuckled softly. “Imagine what would’ve happened if Potter had been sorted into the house of the snakes and not the one of the lions. I doubt anyone would’ve known how to react to that one.”
Crystal could hardly stop her eyes from narrowing when the woman mentioned that it was something at home. And, that was because she knew that she shouldn’t have mentioned that last part. She was trying to keep her uncle’s recent actions a secret, until she knew exactly why. She hated that she couldn’t figure out why her uncle had changed so suddenly after her fourth year, but she was certain that it had to do with the person he called ‘the dark lord’. “I’ll tell you a secret, the easiest way to get through one of his boring lectures, is to pretend to be listening while thinking of something more fun. I just don’t do that during potions class, because one wrong move and boom.” She light of a sigh of relief when she wasn’t asked exactly who was pressuring her into something. “I was never even pressured into anything until the end of my fourth year. I was allowed to simply be happy. And now...” Crystal stops talking suddenly. ”It’s nothing.

there's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/wb98wn.jpg');,true] ROLLING IN THE DEEP !
Nymphadora smiled a little when Crystal said she couldn't be blamed if she defended herself to Gryffindors. "Of course no one could blame you for that. I'd do it too if someone I cared about was being hurt and I wouldn't be an Auror if I took everything that was sent to me lying down. I'm not encouraging the hexing of course but I'm just saying I understand the need to defend yourself." she had been the same way growing up and coming to Hogwarts. She was always ready to hex someone if she needed to. Of course most of the people she hexed when she was at school were Slytherins but they asked for it and Crystal didn't need to know that. That's not saying that Tonks didn't hex a Gryffindor or two. As "courageous" as the Gryffindors may be they can sometimes be pricks as well. Not all of them of course. "Don't tell anyone but I hexed a Gryffindor or two during my school days."
Nymphadora was happy that she had read Crystal well. She would have been embarrassed if she hadn't. "Your absolutely right. And I know how that can feel. I'm related to the Black family you see and there not exactly known for being the nicest bunch." she said giving them a moment thought. "And look at me. Former Hufflepuff, an Auror. Not many would have guessed I'd be where I at right now." Tonks chuckled at the thought of Harry being sorted differently. "Blimey, that would have been a sight. Snape dislikes him now, imagine if he would have had him in the same house. That would have been quite amusing to say the least."
Tonks thanked Crystal for the advice on how to handle Snape's lecture. She listened closely and curiously at what Crystal said next. "It seems more like nothing to me but like I said, your tough enough to handle it. And if you feel like you aren't then I know your smart enough to ask for help." Nymphadora looked around for a second. "As much as I'm having here I'm afraid I have to get back to my rounds before the toa...I mean before Umbridge decides to wring my head. I hope I can trust you enough to get back to the common room. I would suggest no more library trips at least for tonight." she said with a smile as she turned to walk back the way she had come and return to her rounds. Then something hit her and she turned to face Crystal. "I almost forgot. Nymphadora Tonks. Pleasure to meet you. But please, call me Tonks." after a couple more seconds she then turned and walked away.

[/div] Something in the Way she Moves
When she heard Tonks words, Crystal was a bit glad that the woman actually didn’t blame her for hexing the students that messed with someone that she was friends with. She allowed herself to think about what was being told to her, and was a bit peeved when the woman stated that she didn’t encourage hexing. At the mention of the Black family, Crystal’s eyes widened. She knew enough about the whole pureblood family thing to realize that this woman was related to the Malfoy family. However, if that was true there was only one reason why Draco wouldn’t have mentioned being related to someone with pink hair, and that would have to be if she was a blood traitor. But, before she had a chance to ask, what she wanted to inquire of the woman. Tonks started to walk away from her. She was a bit lucky that Tonks missed the scowl on her face at the mention of Umbridge. Unlike most of the Slytherins, she actually had no love for the woman. Because she actually though that they should be able to learn magic in class.
The moment Tonks started to walk away, Crystal had considered telling the woman her name, but decided not to. After all, even if the woman didn’t manage to run into Snape, all she would be able to tell the man was that it was a Slytherin female student that she had caught roaming the halls. Not the student’s name. She was considering wandering around a bit more, but decided against it. She had already been caught once, and she really didn’t want to risk being caught a second time. She let out a heavy sigh before turning to head back in the direction of the Slytherin common room. At least Tonks hadn’t caught on to the real reason why she had been wandering the halls, and she actually had been worried that the woman would bug her until she told her.
As she made her way back to the Slytherin common room, Crystal started to wonder if Tonks was actually right about her being tough enough to handle her situation. However she still didn’t wish to get her uncle into any more trouble than she believed that he had gotten himself into. However, Crystal was almost certain that there was the chance of her running into Tonks again, especially since it appeared that Umbridge was using her as a stool pigeon.
