Ronald,
My friends think I am at a private school for exceptionally intelligent teenagers. Or at least, that's what my parents have told them and their parents. You would not like my friends, they're really not that interesting. I mean, they're just rather plain, like me. Except Giselle Scott, she's been my best friend for ever, and she is a witch too. But yes, if you wish, you can visit. My parents would probably be most fascinated with you. Take that as a good thing - they've never seen another wizard, except Dumbledore. They only saw him when he invited me to attend Hogwarts.
I will absolutely not pick on a First Year ! We do have responsibilities ad Prefects to follow rules and set an example! You read the book, i'll fly with you. I'll bring the book over when I come to help you with your homework. When you've read it cover to cover, i'll fly with you. But you better keep me safe, Ronald. No broken bones, alright? Promise you'll keep me safe and perhaps then my fright will go down a bit. Don't expect me to be happy, though.
Sincerely, Hermione Granger

Hermione,
If I were your neighbour, I'd believe it. Obviously your friends cannot be as interesting as Harry and me, but I doubt that they're that boring if they're your friends. Sure, I can't talk to them about Quidditch, but I can't talk to you about Quidditch either and I don't think you're boring. I didn't know you knew Giselle outside of school. The bad (good?) thing about living in the country is that your neighbours are hardly close to you. I have Luna and the Diggorys. But when you have so many siblings to cause havoc with, you don't really need neighbours.
Yeah, yeah, I figured. Say, how long is this book? I think it's only fair I get ten minutes per chapter because it'll take me at least that long to read a chapter. Fair is fair, Mione. I promise that I will keep you absolutely safe and that nothing bad will happen when you're with me. And I do expect you to be happy with me. You'll make me sad if you're pouting the entire time. You don't want me to be sad, do you?

Ronald,
Well you and Harry are certainly more interesting than my friends back home. I mean, i've spent much more time with the two of you. We went to muggle school together, but grew closer when we got to Hogwarts. I know her family well from visits. She has a very nice older brother. It's nice living in a close knit neighbourhood because I have a lot of people to go to. I don't have any siblings, so it's definitely a break to have someone to talk to.
It's about eight hundred and fifty two pages. So no, I don't think that will be good. How about half a minute for each chapter? That sounds reasonable. I won't be sad, I will be terrified for my life, because I absolutely despise flying. It's not you, it's the flying thing. I mean, I don't like my feet leaving the ground on a broom. I just don't want you looking at me like i'm crazy when i'm scared.
Sincerely, Hermione Granger

Hermione,
Do you still want siblings after you spend so much time with mine? I thought that's why we brought you over to the Burrow so often so that you could see how wonderful it is to be an only child. Really, I'd trade you in a second. I bet your mum never knits you maroon sweaters even though you know it's your least favourite colour.
852 pages? Are you crazy? You read that for fun? Jeez, Mione. We really need to get you out on that pitch. Why don't you pick a smaller book to choose because there is no way we're only doing a minute and a half per chapter. That just isn't fair. Ten minutes per chapter. Choose your book with that rule in place.

Ronald,
I would like a sibling, it would be nice to talk to someone when at home. I mean, all I have are my parents, and trying to talk to them about the Wizarding World is like trying to talk to Malfoy about Muggleborns. It just doesn't happen well. So i'm only at the Burrow for that reason? Here I thought we were best friends. I would trade you in a second as well. Your family is amazing. I always thought the maroon sweaters looked nice on you. She probably does it because you're in Gryffindor, and that's one of our House colors.
It was a rather light read, Ron. Honestly, it isn't that bad. How about you just take me out to the Pitch, and then you can say you did something amazing by getting me out there and up in the air. I really do not like flying Ron. Be prepared for me not liking that. Honestly, are you crazy trying to get me out there?
Sincerely, Hermione Granger

Hermione,
You can always talk to me when you're home. I'm just a letter away. Oh, sure, with Pig it might take a while, but you write such long letters usually that it would almost be like having a conversation. It's not the only reason I invite you, of course. I invite you because Mum's always on my case we need more girls in the house. Can you blame her? It's gotten better since Bill, Charlie and Percy stupid prat moved out, but still. With Dad, Fred, George and me, it's four blokes vs. two women. Well, one woman, one girl. Mum needs you on her side! And all right, you're also invited because you're my best mate, but you already knew that. You like me in the maroon sweaters? Sure. I really believe that. Thanks for trying though.
Maybe for you it's a light read. I'm not sure I'd be finished that before you freed all of the house elves using your Head Girl powers. You're crazy if you think I'll give up. Go for one fly with me and if you hate it, I'll never, ever suggest it again.

Ronald,
It's just a lot easier when the person you want to talk to you is in the same room. No I understand. She has told me before how i'm like a daughter to her already. She is the sweetest lady I know. you really have a terrific mother. Thank you for the reassurance that i'm your "best mate". Always appreciated. I really do like you in the maroon sweater, it's a shame you don't wear yours more often.
I'm sure if you sat down and read with me, you would have a fantastic time. How about this deal? I will go flying with you if you wear your newest maroon sweater out to the Pitch. Does that sound fair? You'll give up on it once something else comes along, a challenge much easier to win than this one.
Sincerely, Hermione Granger

Hermione,
I think Ginny considers you like a sister. Or maybe she just wishes she had a sister. Sometimes I think she gets sick of all of her brothers. Can you imagine? I'd count myself lucky to have a brother like me. I'll be sure to pass along the compliments to Mum. She'll like you even more when she hears them. Well, if I remember to tell her. Normally we don't write each other unless something's wrong, and then she's not writing, she's sending a Howler. Where's the reassurance I'm your best mate? How do I know you haven't replaced me with a Hufflepuff or something?
Let me get this straight, if I just wear my maroon jumper to with you, you'll go flying with me? I must look really dashing in it then. That's a deal. No changing either. I have proof you said wrote this. At least we'll both get some enjoyment out of it. I get to take you flying and you get to see the handsome ginger in the maroon sweater.Really, everyone wins.
