Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom
Man made up a story said that I should believe him
Go and tell your white knight that he's handsome in hindsight
But I don't want the next best thing
So I sing and hold my head down and I break these walls round me
Can't take no more of your fairytale love
AURORA SOLVEJ SINISTRA
Aurora Sinistra is the Astronomy Professor at Hogwarts, and has been for the past six years. She's twenty eight years old and a Ravenclaw alumni, as well as being a Pureblood of Danish/English descent. She mostly keeps to herself, but is unfailingly polite when approached as a rule.

Most people in this category are either those she has known for years upon years, or alternatively have put in the necessary effort in order to worm their way into being considered a 'friend' by Aurora. It's not that she doesn't like people - more a combination of social awkwardness coupled with the burgeoning mistrust brought on by the events in the past decade or so of her life.

As for enemies, a few select individuals make the cut to be labelled as a true member of this class - he former fiance being top of the list. The rest of the numbers tend to be made up of those who just plain annoy her; not that Aurora will willingly spend more time than required in the presence of these people, and who can blame her.
Deirdra Darko - Rival - Librarian!

There was, once upon a time, a very special man who filled this position. However, Aurora caught him in the impossible-to-explain, impossible-to-forgive position of being present at the Death Eater raid when her father (another Professor Sinistra, as it happens) was murdered. She broke it off, naturally, and he didn't like that. Not one bit. So, she has spent her time fearfully hiding herself away from him; but barring one explosive confrontation he has remained silent, and so over the intervening years her paranoia has lessened slightly, but quite frankly if the Professor ever met him in the street she'd panic beyond belief.
What can be taken from all this is that Aurora in no way intends to get involved with men romantically for the forseeable future: so only the most foolhardy would even attempt this uphill climb.

In her capacity as Professor, well, Aurora generally looks upon students as being precisely what they are -students - therefore of course she is willing to help them in whatever learning-related conundrums they might stumble across, and maybe even act as a friendly listener to those who judge her worthy of their confidences. However, she ususally exercises utmost care to not overstep her professional boundaries with them.
