physical description:
Sally is thin and tall, looking more like her father then her mother. Her mother wore blond hair and blue eyes like a true beauty, and Sally was never so fortunate. She wears dark brown, almost black hair and her eyes are just as dark. Her lashes are long, and her eyebrows are manicured. Despite her plan appearance, she tries to keep herself looking her best. She keeps her hair just past her shoulders, and generally it’s kept curly. Her father’s hair is curly, and her eyes mirror his.
When she is not in her school uniform, she keeps herself in jeans, and a teeshirt. Her favorite shirts come off the shoulder, and she usually keeps her head up high. She doesn’t think of herself highly, but she is by no means down on herself either. She doesn’t like people to think she’s down on herself. She most certainly isn’t down on herself and doesn’t think others should be misled into thinking she was by her appearance.

family:
- Father: George Perks. Muggleborn. Waiter in a Muggle restaurant. Divorced.
- Mother: Helena Perks. Half-Blood. Unknown, she left the family years ago.
- Siblings: Georgie Jr. Half-Blood. Unknown, she hasn’t seen him since he was 5.
overall history:
Helena Nadine was born in France, but her family relocated when she was a child. She was accepted to Hogwarts at the age of 11, and was sorted into Ravenclaw. Shortly after her arrival, she met a man she would form a great bond with very quickly. He was a Muggleborn student a year ahead of herself. His name was George Perks, and he became her closest friend. Though, it would become apparent as they got older that they were plenty more than just friends. The two became an item Helena’s fifth year, and were shortly married after she graduated.
Though, not all was as great as it seemed. George, due to blood-status, feared for his family. He took them into hiding, and began working as a waiter in a Muggle restaurant. His wife started to stay at home, and she tended the house, and soon she became pregnant with their first child, and she had to be even more careful.
As the child was born, the Wizarding World seemed to change for the better. The Dark Lord was taken down, and the place was safe again. Though, George was never man enough to go back to the Wizarding World. This, bothered Helena greatly, and a few years after the birth of their son, she couldn’t take it anymore. She would start fights from the time he walked in the door in the evening, until they went to bed, and then when he left for work in the morning. He worked at a restaurant, but they lived comfortably. It was never about money with Helena, it was about him being a real man, not a coward, but that’s not how it came off to the young children, it came off that their parents hated each other, and there was nothing they could do about it.
Sally grew to think her mother a terrible instigator. She couldn’t just stand by her father for who he was. She had to have some macho man who would stand up for her day in and day out. So, when her father started to fight back, she threw herself in the middle of the fight one day, and she got repelled into a wall, and ended up in St. Mungos for nearly a week. When her father brought her home? Her mother was nowhere to be seen, and nearly was her 5 year old brother Georgie. The week before that was the last time she ever heard from either of them.
But, despite that fact, she stood by her father, and she was always happy to do so. He was her hero, and he brought her up right. As she grew up, she grew up playing alone, or with the family dog. She ran around their flat, and she would enjoy playing with her doll house or with a small ball out on the landing. She thought life couldn’t get any better than it was, but that was soon to change. She was about to turn 11.
On her 11th birthday, she was sent a letter about going to Hogwarts. She’d been accepted, and would be expected the following school year. She couldn’t have been more thrilled. As she got her things together, everything was starting to make sense. Her wand seemed so large to her when she got it, but it fits in her slim hands much easier now that she has grown into herself, and her house. When she was first sorted into Ravenclaw, she felt like nothing made sense anymore. She felt she was in the wrong house, but she was also the sorting hat didn’t make mistakes.
It didn’t take long for her to find herself friends, and she found herself in her classes. She found classes like Charms and Defense Against The Dark Arts she took right to, and she found others like Potions and later on, Divination, that she didn’t take to so much. She began to love going to most classes, and dueling also became fun. The more she was at school, the more she couldn’t figure out why her father rejected this world, but she couldn’t change his mind.
Quidditch was only a spectator sport for her for a few years, but eventually she changed her mind, and she wanted to play herself. She’d always liked brooms, but she hasn’t quite the skills for it yet, but she won’t give up on learning the ins and outs of it, she’s certain she can master it if she keeps trying, she has the convictions of a good Ravenclaw afterall.
So, as it stands now, she is loving her life at Hogwarts, but things are changing. She will be the first to tell you, the changings in teachers every year is bothersome. She likes knowing what to expect. Though, teachers aren’t the only things that change, the death of a certain Hufflepuff last school year rocked the foundation of the entire school, and has given her the fear that different things are going to come to Hogwarts, and she should be prepared.

Today had just been one of those days. She’d woken up late, missed breakfast, and had found a run in her tights. She hated having to mend clothing, more often than not she ended up making it worse. She wasn’t talented like her mother had been at mending things of that nature. She could remember her mother being good at all things like that as a kid. She felt herself getting a bit fired up at the idea of her mother being better at things then her, and just thoughts of her mother in general made her mad, so he did her best to block them from her mind. This day she’d let her in, and she hoped it wouldn’t ruin everything.
As she was able to fix her tights, she pulled on her shoes and thundered out of the dorms. She ran through the empty common room, and she ran through the door past the Eagle knocker used to riddle those who wished to enter, and she was on the stairs. She took the stairs two at a time, and she nearly tripped half way down, but she didn’t, and she kept going. She could hear the rather harsh sounds coming from her shoes as they scuffed the stone stairs. She regretted leaving her hair down as she ran, and she felt her hands move up on instinct to continually push it from her line of vision. This action nearly caused her to fall again, and she caught herself as she hit the bottom of the stairs. This was when it occurred to her she’d run down here for nothing, as it was far too late for breakfast. ”Fantastic. Great. Really.” she muttered to herself.
She took a moment at the bottom of the stairs to tie up her hair, and she sighed. She didn’t know what time it was. Breakfast was over, but it could be any time really. She guessed it was Potion’s class time, but she really cared not to run in there late, so she decided that it was just one of the few days in her life she would in fact play hooky. She glanced around, saw no one, and made her way out of the castle. It was far too lovely to be stuck down in that dreadful basement anyhow.
As she got outside, she did her best to get out of the immediate range of the castle, and she slowed her pace once she got closer to the forest. She looked up at the sky, and she smiled, it was a lovely day, despite the fact it hadn’t started out as well as she had wanted it to.
