WACK! Theodore slowly rose from his comfortable sleeping position in the History of Magic classroom, which was in the running for the most boring class of all time. Theo blinked a few times for his eyes were still cloudy from his dreams. The dreams which he now had already forgotten. He patted his hair down and glanced at the clock. Only 5 more minutes. He sighed and slowly began packing his things. He turned his attention back to the clock and counted the seconds. What seemed like an hour later, the bell rang signaling the end of class.
Theo slung his bag over his shoulders as he stood up. He stretched for a second, enjoying the freedom from his cramped desk. He smiled as a pretty Ravenclaw girl strolled past him into the hallway. He watched her leave and then quickly cut off a young Hufflepuff boy from leaving. He made the boy wait and then he casually began making his way towards the door.
He took in the fresh hallway air after spending too much time in the dusty History of Magic Class. He leaned back against the wall and watched the rest of the class leave. He had a free period next and he was looking for something fun to do. Hmm.

The ‘pretty ravenclaw’ had been up all night, as usual, but was oddly tired. Her eyes droped, and her usual love for education was waxing thin. It didn’t help that the class was rather boring, but usually she could get passed that fact and just learn independently, all while getting the assignments done with perfect ability and with added features to help make the paper or assignment even better than what was originally needed. She sat in the chair, seeming to be more uncomfortable than normal. She fidgeted back and forth, leaning her head on her hands, leaning back, turning this way and that. All were small movements, but after a few minutes, others around her had started to notice, and she did her best to sit still. It was definitely a struggle, but she managed to listen a bit, write down a few notes and glance through the text books she’d managed to sneak from the forbidden section, though they were simple and plain books, nothing to extravagant. She flipped through the pages, turning to a page that held a charm she’d never heard of. Before she had time to read over the material, curiousity abounding, the class was over. She looked up tiredly as the students around her began to pick up their things. She grabbed her bag; her small leather bag embroidered with a single yellow flower, though today it was slowly fading between fading colors, reds to pinks, greens to blues. In went her books, followed by her parchment, and then her quill and ink, both put under a spell of protection. As she make sure to put her wand into her robes, she stood slowly. She was feeling tired, weak.
Tonight would be the night, out of so many a month, that she would sleep and find peace. Of course, the few hours she would get might only add up to a grand total of five, but it was better than what it could be.
She made an honest effort to look more awake than she truly was, and she quickly walked out of the room, sneaking past a rather tall, skinny Slytherin. If she recalled correctly, and she had an amazing amount of memory space which was often very reliable, his name was Theodore. She didn’t know his last name, and she hardly though she’d ever heard it before. She brushed off the matter. It wasn’t as if she was ever going to speak to him again, right? Perhaps she was wrong, but it hardly mattered at the moment. She had to get to her next class before she fell over from exhaustion. However, just as she stepped into a rather desolate hall, no one walking down the dimly lit passageway, her foot found a crack in the sidewalk, and though her usual graceful steps would have saved her from falling. Her bag fell from her shoulders, landing beside her. Fortunately, her arms caught most of her fall, but she’d have a beautifully bruised hip by the morning. At least she would be asleep soon, at least. She smiled a bit at the thought before actually making an effort to get up.

Decision making was not one of Theodore's strong point, he was afraid of choosing the wrong thing. He ran his hand through his hair and slowly exhaled. He had all but decided to return to the common room when he heard a loud clunk. Someone had fallen down, rather hard by the sound. Theo quickly looked around for someone else to help her but it seemed they were now the only two in the hallway.
He jogged over to what now he realized was the cute Ravenclaw girl. He managed a smile, if it was a Hufflepuff he without a doubt would have kept walking. He slowed to a stop as he approached the girl, thank God she wasn't crying. "Are you okay?" he asked. He bent down and reached his hand out to her. "Yeah, I trip all the time," he quickly lied, but he hoped it would make her feel a little better. "I'm Theo, by the way," he added.

She quickly looked up, honestly not expecting anyone to want to help her at all. She could have gotten up herself, but being too shy to refuse, or even really talk to her guy, she accepted his help. She took his hand, her small hand lighting grasping his. After all, it was odd to get help from a guy she didn’t even know. Standing, she brushed herself off, and then looked up to get a full view of the one that had helped her. Aside from the scar, he was quite a looker, and if anything, the scar added a certain attribute of rugged handsomeness. She stared, wide eyed, a moment of awkwardness hanging in the air before she raised a hand and moved her blond hair behind her ears. ”Thank you,’ she said, though nearly too quiet to be heard. It wasn’t as if she wanted to be shy and quiet, but it was her natural response to unexpected things, and being helped up by a rather attractive Slytherin was kind of unexpected. She stepped away for a moment to grab her bag, putting it over her shoulder. She turned, a smile over her face. ’Sorry to make you come and help me up, she said, stepping just a bit closer. Being five foot one, while he looked to be near six feet, she had to look up. It was almost embarrassing, but she couldn’t do anything about it at the moment.
Still nervous at the appearance such a person, she shuffled her feet again. In a matter of moments, she snapped back to reality. She had to get to her next class, just as Theo would probably have to get to his. And another thing occurred to her; she had yet to introduce herself. ’I’m Liliana, by the way. You can call me Lily, or Anna or. . . whatever you want,’ she smiled, a small, innocent smile. She looked around the room before turning back to him, her eyes a green blue that day. ’Uh, do you suppose we should get to our next classes?’ she questioned, obvious innocence behind her thoughts. She’d skipped out on a few classes over the years, but never enough to get into trouble. Perhaps this could be yet another one of those times. She smiled again, perhaps a bit bigger this time, somewhat awkwardly avoiding his gaze.

He helped her to her feet and smiled. She was even gorgeous up close. Most girls he noticed only looked good from a few feet away, but closer you can tell the wonders make up does. But, not with her. Theo realized he was staring and quickly looked to the ground, where her bag and books lay. Theo bent down and carefully picked them up and handed them to his new friend.
Theo was never good at decisions, but for some reason the name Lily stuck with him. "Lily, I like Lily," he replied. He brushed his hair to the side nervously and quickly touched his scar, wondering if she had noticed.
"Oh, not me I've got a free period," he replied,"But, I guess free period's are pointless since I can't think of anything to do," he added with a laugh. "But your welcome to come and, uh, hang out with me if your tired of going to class," he nervously said. Normally, Theo wouldn't be talking this much, much less to a girl. However, it seemed Lily and Theo were quite a like, and Theo found the words just came easy to him. Like he was meant to say them

Her shyness was starting to disappear, though her nervousness at the situation was hardly going away. She had only been approached by a few handsome men, and that was generally for help on homework that they couldn’t figure out. This was a cat of a different color, and she didn’t necessarily know how to handle it. Every other time, even if she did like a guy, she was able to step past any sense of unease and just help for idiot, but at the moment, there was hardly a remain of that confidence that, oddly, showed up to her around guys, but no one else. However, she had a gut feeling that her next class, arithmancy, wouldn’t be worth her time compared to what going with this guy might mean to her. After all, even Ravenclaws liked to have a bit of fun once in a while.
She grabbed her books from him with a quick nod of thanks, stowing them away into her bag. Man, if this guy wasn’t good enough, he was a gentlemen as well. But, she knew from her friend’s experience that trusting someone off of first impressions was possibly the stupidest thing that someone could do.
’Free periods will be nice, when I finally get one,’ she smiled, trying to act more confident than she actually was. ’I’d like that, I mean. . h-.hanging out and all,’ Lily stammered, covering it up with a quick smile before she cast her eyes down to the ground. Maybe this guy would turn out to be a rotten little boy, good for nothing but playing pranks on younger students, and making dumb girls fall in love with him before he unexpectedly just didn’t like them anymore. She caught herself quickly, thinking back. Why did that even occur to her? It wasn’t as if she planned on falling in love with him. For some reason though, it was very hard. Of course, the physical proof was standing before her, tall, ruggedly handsome and in more than one sense, just plain out gorgeous. She took a moment to push those thoughts away. It would take more than look to impress her, and that would take some time. Of course, it nearly sickened her that she expected him to for any reason like her at all. Inwardly, she sighed, but looked up at him tentatively. ’We could head for some abandoned class room, seeing as you’re a Slytherin and I am a Ravenclaw, er. . .I mean, at least I think. You’re a Slytherin, right?’ she asked, looking up curiously. Dang, this kid was tall. . .

"Uh, yeah," he answered her. It struck him that being a Slytherin would be a turn off for her and nervously combed his hair to the side with his hands. His arms felt awkward just dangling by his side, so he was nearly always doing something with them. The whole house system was bizarre to Theodore and he hated how it put labels on people. He just wanted to be Theodore Nott, his own man.
Deciding to quickly change the subject, Theo turned his direction down the hallway and began walking. "But, yeah great idea," he said smiling. He put his hand around her for a second, to lead her in the same direction, but then he quickly took it down. "Um, I think there's an empty one a few classes down if you'd like to check it out," he added. He of course knew for a fact there was one, but it just didn't seem cool to say for sure.
A few more doors down, and Theo found the familiar door and peaked in the window. Empty. "This alrght?" he asked, as he opened the door for Lily and pointed inside.

As he started walking, it seemed as though he thought she might turn and walk the other way. Or, perhaps, he thought she would trip again. Perhaps, he just wanted to make sure she wouldn’t run away in fear. After all, he was a Slytheirn and they were going to go and run off into a quiet room where no one would find them for some time, if they were there long enough. Whatever reason it might have been, he put his hand around her for just a moment, to lead her in the right direction. She swore the butterflies flew, if only for a second. Her wide eyes got a bit wider, something almost like fear coming over her. She’d never been touched by a male, save for her father, but that was only in the most sweet and caring of ways, unless he happened to be beating her for something she hadn’t done. That had only happened once in a while.
Taking his word for it, she simply followed, somewhat like a lost puppy. As he opened the door, she once again gazed up into his face. His green eyes was darker than hers were ever, and the hardness of his face seemed to lead back to some sort of past, though she didn’t dare guess. She’d tried that before, and she was always wrong. Better to just figure it out from the person she supposed. As she stepped into the room, she met exactly what she thought she would. Dust had collected on the few desks that were left in the room, a few chairs tossed here and there, though a few had found their way to a table, being placed there by someone who visited here once in a while. A certain kind of peace filled the room, something that was hard to find in Hogwarts. She stepped forward, her gaze upward, glancing over the tapestries that hung from wall to wall up in the rafters, faded and worn, but still holding some form of grace as they gently drifted back and forth, a slight breeze from an unknown source pushing them, ever so softly. Liliana turned back to Theo, smiling. ’This isn’t so bad,” she commented before moving forward to explore the room. ’I thought I knew about all of the rooms in Hogwarts. I guess I never really looked down this hall before,’ she spoke, softly. It seemed wrong to speak loudly here, were abandonment had quieted this place for so long.

Theo waited for her to walk in and then quickly glanced down both ends of the hallway. No one in sight, it was almost too empty. He turned back to the room and shut the door behind him. The room was familiar to Theo and everything seemed to be in its normal position. It seemed if you didn't follow Draco Malfoy's every command, you weren't a true Slytherin. Theo didn't dislike Draco, he just didn't want to be in his clique. He wasn't a follower. So naturally, Theodore didn't have too many friends. He sometimes would come to this room to practice spells or do homework, too much time in the dungeons can be depressing to one with bad memories.
"Oh, yeah I've been here a few times," Theo replied,"I mean not that much though," he added on quickly with a nervous laugh. His eyes looked to the floor. What stupid thing to say, she probably thought he was dumb now. Theo shook his head and decided to step it up. It's not every day he's alone in a room with a pretty girl.
Theo slid towards Lily and sat down on top of the desk. "Here, let me see your hand," he said while outstretching his. "I can read palms." He had no idea what he planned to say, he had never taken or believed in any of that Divination stuff, but he smiled and knew he would come up with something.
