Something in the Way she Moves
Crystal looked at the letters that were in her hands. She had told the man that she had been destroying each and every one of the missives that had been sent back and forth between them, but that hadn’t been the complete truth. She wasn’t even sure if she should even continue writing to the man, but continued to do so despite her better judgment. Strangely enough he ended up making the prospect of joining the dark lord a bit more easier than her uncle’s demands of her doing it...just because he told her to. But, still she didn’t know if she wanted to do that. However, she knew that she would probably have to stop writing to the man soon. She ended up letting out a quick sigh. The man was dangerous, and someone that she knew that she shouldn’t have any contact with at all. But, she knew that having contact with the man could work to her advantage, especially when it came to finding something that she could use against her uncle in the near future. But, if Rodolphus was correct then there was the slight chance that Professor Snape could also be used for such a task.
Yeah right. She had already decided not to tell the man a single thing about her uncle, and if what she was told was the truth, then Snape already knew about her uncle being a part of his little circle. So, telling him was something that was not going to happen. It wasn’t as if she didn’t trust him...she just didn’t like the idea of someone that her uncle might use to lure her to do evil things had been right under her nose the entire time. Wait, wasn’t there a chance that Rolophus was doing the same thing. After all, she didn’t know all that much about him, except for the fact that he claimed not to trust her uncle. A fact that could either be the truth, or a complete lie. For all she knew, he was telling her exactly what her uncle wanted him to, in order to gain her trust, and make it easier for her to be lured to join the dark lord. For all she knew, he probably would approve of the steps that her uncle was taking to bend her to his will. She was just lucky that he hadn’t started to use unforgivables on her just yet. Because, that would be something that she wouldn’t be able to hide so easily.
She looked at the letters one more time, as if she was trying to figure out what to do about them. She knew that she could easily tell someone about them. But, then that would put him in extreme danger. Yes, Crystal could safely admit that she was confused about what to do in this matter. She did happen to share the same beliefs that the man had, but she wasn’t sure if they were all the same ones. She really shouldn’t be thinking about this, she had more important things to worry about, like studying for her coming OWLs at the end of the year. Passing those should be at the top of her list and not trying to figure out if she should continue to write to the man who had just wanted advice on his marriage. She looked around just to make sure that no one had actually seen the letters and then shoved them into her bag. She would decide what to do concerning this matter at a later date, right now she needed to make sure that her grade didn’t slip any further behind. Only because she was certain that someone would notice it. Which was something she was trying to avoid all together. Crystal was certain that she didn’t need...or want one of her friends to go tell a teacher about her slipping grades. The same way she knew that she didn’t want them confronting them about them. But, as long as she managed to continue to do all of her work then she knew they wouldn’t notice...unless she ended up flunking all of her OWLs, which wasn’t going to happen.
