Random letter, yay! So I kinda hope this doesn't go to someone who's gonna ask for food or something, before they actually respond with something entertaining.

giselle ,
Hey Elle, it's Hermione. Your letter got caught in my hair on its way through the Library, and so I opened it curiously. Good to know it's you and not a prank letter that would have ended with a trip for me to the Hospital Wing! That just happened to a poor First Year. He has got rather unfortunate boils with green pus - nevermind, the details of his situation are not important. But still! What are you up to right now?

Oh, the owl I sent it with was mental. I would never do a prank letter of that sort. Anyway, taking a little break in between this Herbology essay, and the one from Potions. How are you doing, my friend?

elle ,
It's alright, no damage done. I ended up in a much better situation than the little First Year, so i'm breathing quite the sigh of relief. I'm done every bit of work given to us today except Potions, which I am halfway through. I was looking for another Potions book to use as a resource when your letter arrived. How are you finding the Herbology essay?

The Herbology essay was unbelievably simple. I think you'd do the best like always. What other book were you planning on using for the Potions essay?

Yes, it was quite easy. Well, we had all of the Potions books that we were supposed to use as resources, but i'm looking for one outside of our list. Just for a bit more information. I haven't found one yet. I was just reprimanded by Umbridge for the owl flying too close to her "beautifully made hair". She's a toad, I tell you, Elle. Umbridge needs to be put in her place, she is just horrid. 20 Points from Gryffindor for an owl not flying in a pattern she found suitable.

Ugh, beautifully made hair, it just looks like a bird's nest, maybe that's why the owl flew too close. She's awful that's for sure, I wrote to a brother of mine about her, he suggested a few pranks, but I think I'd leave those to the Weasley twins.

Her hair is as wretched as her personality. I can't believe she just took 20 points! It's unfair. I dare say I will have to tell Dumbledore about this inequality. She would not have taken twenty points from Slytherin for that. How is your brother doing lately? You haven't said much about him in a while. Oh, I know Fred and George have a lot up their sleeves for Umbridge, and she deserves it.

I think even the professors are being picked on by her, selectively but it's certainly unfair treatment nonetheless. She took 10 points from Hufflepuff the other day because I hugged a first year.
Tristan is doing all right, he's dating and at Stanford now, so obviously we don't hear from him very often.

You hugged a First Year and she took points from you? That old bat is going to get it, I know she is. She drives me mental. Ron even laughed at me the other day cause i ranted about her. Apparently he has never seen anyone look so angry as me when I ranted. I saw her pick on Professor McGonagall the other day, and I nearly lost it on her. If Ron wasn't there to stop me I probably would have done something bad. I can not stand the woman! Stanford, the Muggle school? That sounds exciting. I hope he is doing well there, although it is too bad you don't get to see him as often.

For the most part the teachers aren't liking her peering over their shoulders. At least that's what I'm seeing.
Yes, Stanford is all the way in America, and it's one of those really prestigious schools. It's great for him though since he wants into business school.

elle ,
Just got detention from her after Ron accidentally dropped his bottle of ink and I tried to clean it up. I am definitely not in a good mood now. How about we go to Hogsmeade some time soon to escape her? Well i'm glad he close something he wants to do, and that he is doing something good. One of my old Muggle friends wrote me the other week telling me how she is going to Yale. I have no idea where or what that is, but i'm supposing it's very good as she was very excited in the letter.

Hogsmeade sounds great actually. This whole mess with Umbridge is just so stressful.
Yale's a great school. I can understand why she was so excited.
