Nymphadora couldn't help but giggle at what Sirius said about Molly. "True. " She said smiling. She then handed him a sandwich as she was starting on hers. Then he brought up the twins again. She just shrugged her shoulders. "Whatever those two come up with I don't thought it will be the highlight of the evening." She rolled her eyes when he mentioned that she shouldn't waste her time. As if she was really going to take time on getting ready. "You honestly think I'm going to put in anytime for this thing. Rubbish. I already have a ...dress that I chose out." she said the word as if it was acid. She didn't mind wearing a dress really she just didn't like it when it had to formal or anything. She'd never wear heels either.
She looked at him when he said that she was considering his earlier suggestion. "I never...ugh. You are getting way to much fun out of this Sirius." She had never said she was considering it. Just that it was an interesting an idea. Those were two totally different things. Of course Sirius wouldn't see it that way. "I never said I was considering your idea. Do you honestly think that even if I was I would tell you." she said playfully. At that moment there conversation had been interrupted by Cole Arden. "Well, no one told you to interrupt a family conversation now did they Cole. That's your own fault. Not ours." she said playfully. She had already known about Cole being the substitute herbology teacher at Hogwarts this year since Hagrid would be out doing something. She looked back at Sirius when he asked about Umbridge. "I would rather be taking Snape's potion class than being around that woman." she said. She was curious to know if Cole would be attending the dance. "Yeah Cole, are you going? Or are you going to find some excuse not to?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

. this road was paved by the broken hearted but we've got to finish what we started
601 words. - Tonksie and Dragonboy - i had fun with this ;] ------------------------------------------------------------- While Cole managed to hold back his laugher at their comments towards Umbridge, Sirius could do no such thing. "How would you feel about accidentally feeding her to one of those magical creatures you're watching over?" he asked Cole afterwards with a tone of complete seriousness. It didn't seem like a bad idea to him. Of course... he was also now contemplating asking two grown up Order members to sabotage the Hogwarts dance with a prank for little other reason than him thinking it was amusing. He wasn't exactly known for brilliant -well, they were brilliant. Just not.. responsible- ideas. But it was none the less worth a shot.
He nodded to Tonks. Fred and George, from what he knew, were the highlight of every Hogwarts event. But that was going to change now. This time it was going to be Cole and Tonks. And everyone there was going to recieve the shock of their lives. He resisted looking at either of them as she misinterpreted his question and said something about a dress. Like he was actually thinking about that! He knew what he was thinking however was probably evidently plastered on his face, and he was still finishing working out the details. "Of course you're thinking about it," he insisted, "You don't need to tell me to know." He started to walk away and met her eyes only when they were out of the kitchen. He dropped to a chair in the room rather like an unceremonious teenager. Always the best atmosphere for these things. "I wasn't talking about your dress actually," he smirked, "But now I know you have free time... So I was thinking you two should pull a prank tonight." he glanced between the two of them. It was slightly awkward; This wasn't anything like Marauder pranking sessions.. but coming up with one certainly wasn't a problem. He had a large repertoire that at the very least no one had heard from in fifteen years. The hard part - though it was by no means impossible- was going to be convincing them to go along with it. He knew it was involve a good bit of skill on his part, but he was willing to put forth some effort. Tonks he knew was already at least considering the first thing he said, so he decided to focus on Cole.
"You're right Cole," he nodded somberly, repeating, "I of all people would know... And I'm guessing you've spent all your time that you're not teaching classes locked up in your room. So you're going. This will be good for you." Sirius was more than aware of Cole's severe paranoia, but his solution usually involved putting Cole in stressful, dangerous situations that he should be paranoid of out his wits during, but was instead so focused on getting out of the situation without any harm (or in this case completing a goal) that it didn't register as much.. or, well, something like that. He was certainly no therapist, but by the end of the summer he was pleased with the results. "Besides, remember what you told me about using people as a distraction? Well, your problem is people. But you'll be so busy executing brilliance you wont even notice them." And honestly, if Cole was really adamant about not doing this, he could do the smart thing and convert sides to helping Sirius bug Tonks into doing it.

Nymphadora laughed at the thought of feeding Umbridge to one of Cole's creature. What made it even funnier was the fact that he said it with complete seriousness. Oh that would be a sight she would pay to see. Of course though she isn't suppose to wish harm onto anyone, especially a Ministry employee but she would have to be excuse this time around. Of course there were a few others she could think of feeding to dragons but they would have to come later in her book. "I wouldn't mind paying a few sickles to see her get fed to a Hippogriff but I'm afraid they wouldn't be able to stomach the old toad.." she said.
She was curious about Cole going to the dance but by the looks of it didn't seem like he was to fond of the idea. There was something else that caught her attention though. It was Sirius's face. She recognized that face. It was the face that he was up to something or planning something in that head of his. It worried her a bit. "It's not like we're asking you to dance or anything. All you have to do is show up, show your face. Let the kids get to know their substitiute professor for a bit. Stick yourself to the wall for all I care. At least show up .Then Sirius's words confirmed her suspicions. "Whoa, uh no Sirius. I'm not going to be pulling any prank at the dance. I'll leave that two the twins. One, because I'm suppose to be chaperoning. Two, if Moody finds out I'll never hear the end of it and three I will never be able to look at Dumbledore again. So whatever your little marauders head is thinking leave me out of it. "

. this road was paved by the broken hearted but we've got to finish what we started
587 words. - Tonksie and Dragonboy - the fun is gone,
COLES FAULT ------------------------------------------------------------- "I'd double whatever Tonks is paying," Sirius agreed with a smirk. "And like I said, I haven't even met her yet." He probably wouldn't ever end up doing so, since he didn't have plans of visiting Hogwarts or the Ministry any times soon, but any of the later's employees dropping off the face of the earth (or being fed to Thestrals) was a good thing in his book. "Why can't you? The whole staff wants her dead. No one would blame you. The Ministry couldn't conduct a proper investigation if lives depended on it." He shook his head. "Shame, most investigations do that.. Anyway, there's nothing stopping you."
Realistically, the prank idea shouldn't have been a big deal. It shouldn't even have been an idea- more of an offhanded comment. He hadn't planned it though. It was a pipe leg dream with almost no likeliness of happening... And so Sirius wasn't particularly upset that Cole thought it was stupid and Tonks wanted no part of that. He'd expected that. He would have pressed on teasingly, made some comment about the fact that they can't get house points taken or detentions, so he didn't even know what Cole's problem was; but Cole's words in the way they were stated put everything that made sense aside and had him glaring more than darkly at the older man.
"I know that," he retorted instantly, position changing from relatively laid back to on-edge defensive. No. He knew exactly what the date was, thank you very much. Of course, it didn't surprised him that Cole seemed to think that wasn't the case. As much as he'd considered Cole a friend, he was still a member of the Order; he was still an older member of the Order; and being at school with a bunch of snotty arse professors had evidently influenced him in the worst ways possible. It was probably wrong of him to jump so quickly to conclusions. Cole probably didn't even mean it like that, but Dumbledore and Molly had done it enough times that when anyone accused him of not knowing where the hell he was in life, he got on the defensive. It wasn't so much of a fight with Cole. He didn't have the desire to say anything mean to him. But at the same time, he certainly wasn't happy with the former Ravenclaw.
"You guys are no fun." It wasn't even meant to be snarky or intelligent. Just the blunt and honest truth. Well, in Sirius' matter of opinion. They really weren't being any fun at all though. "If Moody and Dumbledore find out you can tell them it was my idea. I doubt they'd have any trouble believing it." It was directed more at Tonks than Cole, because Sirius was firmly and immaturely avoiding speaking directly to the other man. Well- sort of. He didn't know what he was doing. He wants to make a point but he also wanted to get his way. For all of a few minutes, maybe Cole was right, it had seemed like they were seventeen again. And until a certain Dragonboy decided to ruin it, he hadn't had any problems with that.
