Believing that he had perhaps been day dreaming too much, he thought for a moment that the beautiful forest around him was a fabrication of his mind... That was until he remembered about the Forbidden Forest near Hogwarts Grounds. Fearing he was lost, Eric began to run, frightened of what might sneak up on him in the wilderness. Stopping to gasp for air after a while, he glanced around, only to spot the Care of Magical Creatures professor, Cole, and was instantly overcome by relief. Running to Cole's side, his pace slowed, as he admired a sight he had never seen before. A horse. ”Oh you're beautiful...” Slowly staggering forward, Eric looked over the other mans shoulders. “Oh, yes she is... And she's bareback too!” He exclaimed, never having seen a horse in person before, not this close at any rate. Neglecting the fact that the horse had thrown its ears back in annoyance, Eric reached out and pet the long nose of the horse in front of him. “Wow, you really are a pretty lady aren't you?” Eric cooed ignoring the snort the horse had blown into his face. Picking up pieces of the horses mane, Eric began to braid it, as Professor Arden kindly pointed out that the gender of the horse was in fact male. “But she...He's still so pretty..” Eric stated a little disappointed and embarrassed due to his own assumptions. Nevertheless, Eric managed to tickle the bottom of the horses chin, and again ignoring all warning signs of discontent, Eric talked in a baby voice as he said: “Such a pretty horsie.. Hey, Cole, do you think you can give me a leg-up? I've never ridden a horse before.” Clambering over the other professor, Eric forced himself upon the horse, completely curious. Once half hanging over the side of the horse, Eric couldn't quite figure out how to climb atop it. Of course any idiot could have told Eric not to mount a wild steed, particularly in the Forbidden Forest, however, the logic simply didn't register. After what felt like hours although lasted probably only seconds Eric had managed to get atop the horse. Smiling triumphantly, he gripped the mane lightly, and kicked slightly to signal the creature to move onwards and into the horizon! tag: Gabriel & Cole ;; Notes: <3 template by eliza @ shadowplay
