Rodolphus sat in the library of the Lestrange mansion, reading through some books on spells and hexes. This was one of the ways he loved spending his down time, which he rarely got now that the dark lord had returned and they were preparing to complete what they started 15 years ago. The only sounds that could be heard were the gentle ticking of clock on the wall that counted down the time. Rodolphus had been alone all day because the dark lord had summoned his wife to do something very important.
He knew this war was important but ever since it started he noticed Bella's love dwindling everyday. It appeared to Rodolphus he had lost his Bella for good this time. As time passed Rodolphus grew more and more impatient. "Oh my dear Bella what has he asked you to do this time?" he mused to himself.
He was just about to go out looking for Bella when front door burst open and nearly came of his hinges. He looked over his shoulder and saw it was beautiful bride back from her job; but the scary part was she looked very mad which typically meant one thing for him, All hell was about to break loose on his shoulders.

words // 617 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Ruddy witch gone insane, - C L E A R T H E W A Y M U G G L E , M A K E S O M E R O O M - Bellatrix growled angrily as she made her way home from Knockturn Alley, her mood most fowl. Her Lord had instructed her to capture a certain individual lurking within the shadows of the place, under the assumption that her Lord needed to have a ‘conversation’ with the man. But, of course, she was unable to find this man and every minute that she had spent in attempts to find him drove her into further rage. Failing the Dark Lord wasn’t something that was ever going to be on her to-do list, and such an occurrence upset her greatly. Having kept to the shadows like a good little Death Eater, Bellatrix arrived at the Lestrange Manor, furiously kicking the door open: which was a huge feat considering the door was metal and securely locked. Her face was twisted in rage as the woman stormed through the house, kicking things if they were in her way. She was quite aware that her husband, Rodolphus, lay within the house: most likely somewhere she wouldn’t find him immediately. Their house elf, Uley, made the mistake of stepping out into view whilst Bellatrix was throwing her tantrum, carrying a silver tray with a tea cup no doubt meant for her husband.
It would never make it there, however, as Bellatrix took sight of the ugly beast and stormed towards him, making the creature tremble and drop the tray in fear. But, much to the approval of Bellatrix, he didn’t run. He stood there to take her anger as he always had. The witch screeched angrily, punting the little thing straight back into the far wall. Luckily, for him, the wall didn’t break under his small body. Huffing psychotically, Bellatrix turned on her heels and strutted to no where in particular, continuing to break things. Never, though, did she bring out her wand. She had no real interest in completely burning the house down. Her mind was still fuming; however she could feel her energy leaving her. The witch’s body wasn’t as fit as it used to be, and this is had to accept. ”CLEAN THIS UP!” She yelled rather rudely to the house elf, who was still dazed, as she went back to the open front door and slammed it shut. Then she stomped upstairs, growling as she went. Releasing her cloak from her shoulders, the woman in the corset threw it onto her bed, and made her way downstairs. The library: she knew that is where he’d be. That’s where he usually was if he was home. Of course, she had already convinced herself that she was traveling down to the book-infested place not for him, but for the fire. It was something she’d done her entire life, when she was upset, was to sit in front of the fire. When she was little, she believed that she could feed the fire with her anger, but now it seemed foolish. The door to the library swung open fast but quiet. Purposely she ignored her husband, whom she saw lurking in the dark corner of the room, and strutted over towards the fire, where she promptly sat herself down on the floor. It didn’t work right if she sat on a chair and stared into the flames.
Memories of Rodolphus and herself sitting in the Slytherin common room doing the exact same thing, after Bella had blown up on someone, flooded into her head. However, she quickly pushed them aside, focusing on the intense heat of the orange lashes in front of her. Silently she brought her knees up to her chest, something that was familiar from her years in Azkaban. Her mind and eyes zoned out quick enough, letting her body drain on emotions.

Rodolphus was enjoying silence of the house only to have it broken by the sound of the metal door to mansion bust open and slam against the wall. He was proud of having chosen to have a metal door put in just of case Bella's fits of rage which he realized she was often having. Today was no exception apparently he heard the whimper of their pathetic house elf Uley; as he had apparently gotten in the way of Bella's tantrum, which was something he knew from experience to never do. Rodolphus pressed his nose back into his book knowing that pretty soon she should would stomp through the door to library, not because she wanted to see him but because it was the only place with a fireplace.
Bellatrix never seemed to want to see him anymore, her every thought always seemed so focused on the dark lord. In all honesty, it made Rodolphus quite jealous but to speak up would mean disrespecting the dark lord. The very deed itself is worthy of death and he would rather live, though he thought Bella wouldn't care if he did die. No sooner had he returned to his book did Bella come barging into the room and without a simple hello or I love you. She just simply rushed and proceeded to sit on the floor next to the fireplace.
He looked fondly at Bellatrix, even though she had let her appearance alittle bit she was still the most beautiful thing in his life. He put his book down and sat close to her but dare not touch her, he loved this women even though she seemed to no longer love him. His mind wandered to the lovely nights back in the slytherin common room, where he would comfort her after she beat up some pitiful student. "Bella? What happened?" Mr. Lestrange asked knowing full well that is was a stupid mistake but he genuinely wanted to know. He sat there waiting for the wrath of Bellatrix to come crashing down on him.

words // 582 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Ruddy witch gone insane, - C L E A R T H E W A Y M U G G L E , M A K E S O M E R O O M - Bellatrix could feel her husband’s eyes on her, but she was too pissed to care or to say anything. Instead, she had closed her eyes, the warmth of the fire eating at her inside. It was a nice feeling, though: the fire. She didn’t mind it. The pain was numbing and, as if she were a little kid once again, she felt as if the fire could eat her anger away. But, as she heard Rodolphus adjusting his position to sit beside her, she couldn’t help but allow that annoyance bubble up inside her once again. Simply being so close to him upset her; wishing he would leave her. However, she didn’t say anything as she continued to let the heat of the fire envelope her. Bellatrix allowed her mind to form to whatever happened to enter it, trying to lose herself. It was easiest that way, so drift off and cease to exist. Much to her disappointment, though, she always came back.
Eventually, her trance was broken when her husband spoke: immediately making her jerk in both surprise and anger. No, the fire hadn’t taken the anger as it should have. Slowly, the woman turned her head so she could gaze upon the face of her Rodolphus, the fire and the light lessening her attempts at a furious gaze. She almost looked somewhat attractive in the light. But her temper wasn’t as easily disguised. ”It is none of your concern, Rodolphus.” It was hard to imagine that this woman had once loved him dearly. Her tone was more than harsh, full of hatred and neglect. The worst part was, she wasn’t entirely sure what she didn’t like about him anymore. ”The Dark Lord will punish me,” she whispered to herself, he mood snapping from anger to depression immediately. Punishments from the Dark Lord were just about equal to a brutal death, and Bellatrix knew this. It was something she often did in place of him to others.
Silently she tilted her head down, feeling the presence of Rodolphus press against her roughly. Yes, that was it. He always had made her feel childish, even when she wasn’t able to see why she felt that way. It wasn’t always a bad thing, feeling like a student back in Hogwarts again; however more and more she found it annoying. She wanted nothing to do with him anymore. She wanted him to leave her alone to sulk in her own depressed state. Despite this, there was another part to her husband that she would never admit to herself. Were he ever to truly leave, she wouldn’t find enjoyment in it. The witch’s hands flew up to either side of her head, pressing together roughly. Then she began to shake it back and forth, as if she could make the world right again: as if she would knock herself out and not have ever been sent on the retrieval mission. It was a stupid response to the petty failure, however the witch couldn’t help but be beyond distraught. Failing in anything felt like the end of the world. Bellatrix continued, trying to force a change in the time stream, expecting a different result whilst doing the same thing. Finally she stopped, and turned back to looking into the fire, quite aware that her husband had seen her lapse of sanity. She didn’t care. Perhaps he’d leave her alone if he was frightened enough. Stubbornly she remained silent, her bottom lips quivering slightly.
Her emotions continued to rush, childishly.

Rodolphus knew Bella's tantrums all to well, so this one was nothing new to him. He brushed her harsh words aside like they were never said. Her tantrums usually took a similar pattern; each one varying on the situation, the pattern for each one remained the same during the situation it pertained to. This one apparently had to with something Bellatrix had failed for their master. He grabbed her forcefully and just held her there. he felt the warm glow of the fireplace wrap around the two of them. "Bella! stop this at once!" Rodolphus commanded, knowing the command would snap her out of the now depressive state she had now slipped into.
Depression was typically the next mood Bella would slip into when dealing with failure. He noticed over the years that Bella never could handle failing at anything, she always needed to be Number one the greatest and in charge. Part of the reason of what kept their love alive during the first year of their marriage was the constant power struggle between him and Bella. Bella kept trying to tell him how things were supposed to go and he would forcefully remind her that she was not the man of the house.
He listened carefully knowing her next comment typically to herself was something along the lines of the dark lord's punishment. These, he knew from personal experience were a fate worse than death because with death it instant not long and drawn out like the dark lord loves to do. There was a part of Rodolphus that would love to watch Bella get what she deserves, but, there another part was hurt because this was the woman he still loved. He sat there contemplating how to help Bella out and he knew she was more than willing to let him take the fall for it, well not anymore.
"Bella, You have failed, Just go to the dark lord and admit it. the dark lord might be angry but he won't stay mad at you for long. You're his most Loyal follower, but it's what you deserve for failure." Rodolphus spouted before he realized what he had said handing her over to torture like that, but he figured if she was going to love him again he need to act more forceful with her. He was to no longer just be her patsy to place the blame on as she had done so in the past. He was to no longer rescue her from trouble except in the heat of battle as a teammate. Rodolphus loved Bella, but he needed to no longer be the weak sniveling coward he had grown into. It was long overdue for him to take control of his house once again.

words // 536 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Ruddy witch gone insane, - C L E A R T H E W A Y M U G G L E , M A K E S O M E R O O M - Bellatrix jolted when his skin touched hers, Rodolphus’ hands holding her firmly in place. His expression was something she’d never seen on him before, anger and hurt both unnaturally sound upon his features. For a moment, she simply sat still, staring into his eyes. Before long, however, her eyes blazed with anger as she screwed up her face, disrespect staining her own features. ”HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME THAT WAY?” she yelled, shoving off his grasp. He had, for so long now, taken to the shadows: attempting to stay clear of her moments of anger. But now, he was different. Growling, she turned back to the fire, the heat baking her underneath the dark, heavy clothing she wore. His sudden change in personality consumed her mind: forcing her anger into both annoyance and curiosity. Eventually, it hit her; however she refused to show any kind of recognition. He was strikingly similar to how he had been back in their days at Hogwarts, and she couldn’t help but hate him for it. Bellatrix couldn’t help but hate everything, about anyone. It was who she had become, the very example of a psychotic antisocial.
Once the witch had thought his lapse of personality was over, he continued his rant: this time concerning the Dark Lord. Her eyes widened painfully, but she didn’t turn to look at him. Her face betrayed her, losing her angry expression and replacing it with the face of a frightened deer. While it is true that Bellatrix loves the Dark Lord, and takes great pride in her position closest to him, her fear can often be immense. Never, however, would she openly avoid his presence, which was going to result in the truth being told anyway. Rodolphus was right, in all aspects of the situation. She should go and admit to her failure, taking whatever punishment he willed to her. Despite this truth, she couldn’t help but feel afraid; pain being something she willingly gave and not sought. Bella was not a stranger to the pain of both love and torture, both of which she completely despised receiving. Within the witch, the feelings of acceptance, dread, and hatred raged, ending in the woman suddenly swinging her arm out, ranking her nails across the body of her husband. She was confused, and hurt, to say the least: both of which she would never admit to anyone. The best way she knew to deal with the situation was to lash out, hurting the closest thing, very similar to the way she dealt with failure and much else.
”I will tell him,” she spoke, her voice ghostly and quiet. She hadn’t bothered to turn to view her husband, not caring if she’d hurt him or not. Nothing really mattered at this point. ”I will tell him . . .” she repeated, a little more calm and to herself. Her gaze focused back onto the fire, her expression leaking into apathy. Depression still ruled her, after her moment of aggressiveness had left: this much was clear in her eyes. His lip had stopped quivering, resolving to being bitten by her teeth as she attempted to once again lose herself in the intense heat of the flames.

Rodolphus sat there holding Bella next thing he knew, he was being shoved off due to Bella's anger. Rodolphus knew that he had caused something to stir in Bella because her face displayed confusion and anger. He saw that old glimer in her eyes that showed him that maybe she still loved him, but just as quickly as it had shown up it disappeared behind a fit of rage.
Then suddenly out of the blue Bella had swiped a Rodolphus, Her sharp nails scratch his emaciated chest. The spot where Bella had struck was torn and Rodolphus was bleeding. Something stirred in Rodolphus, He was no longer going to tolerate this. Bella had go on long enough abusing Rodolphus and he was fed up being her little lap dog while she went out and sought the attention of another man.
In a fit of rage and Jealousy when he thought about the dark lord and how abusive he had made Bella, Rodolphus quickly pulled out his wand. A sturdy 12 inch ash unyeilding phoenix feather wand that he bought from ollivanders long ago. "Stupefy!" Rodolphus bellowed. His gut reaction woudl of told hims to kill but seeing as he loved the woman and wanted keep her, he decided on knocking her back. maybe the jolt will knock her to her senses but Rodolphus highly doubted it.

words // 425 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Rodolphus witch gone insane, - C L E A R T H E W A Y M U G G L E , M A K E S O M E R O O M - Bella had deliberately ignored her husband’s reaction to her attack, and had almost sunk out of consciousness when he pulled his wand out. It was an immediate reaction to yank her own wand out, her face twisted and snarling. Before he could utter his curse, Bellatrix was on her feet, prepared just as she had been trained to be. The blast danced towards her, and in the short distance nearly hit her. At the last moment, the witch deflected it, causing the spell to crash into the wall near the ceiling. It was several moments before she actually spoke, a sly smile appearing on her lips. ”Oh I get it,” she mocked, her head tilting to match the clumsy motions of her swaying body. Taking a step towards her husband, Bellatrix laughed. ”Did I upset you, ’dear’?” Another laugh, this time more wicked than the last. The witch took another step, raising her wand in offense. ”Alright. Let’s play then!” Flicking her wand, amusement evident, the woman began to cast spells of her own: every color possible blasting from her wand in the process.
While the woman tossed spells, dodging and using the furniture to block most of the spells initiated by Rodolphus, she taunted him relentlessly. It was the funniest part of her duels, to see the anger rise further and further in the eyes of her enemies. ”Are you having fun yet, Rodolphus?” She couldn’t help but chuckle as she went along, sending yet another curse. ”I was under the assumption that these books,” she took a pause in her ramblings to grab the side of one of the book-cases nearest her husband and yank it down upon him. ”were your fun.” The books scattered across the floor in reckless heaps, into which Bellatrix began kicking and blasting apart, obliterating the things. Oh how she hated books, especially his books. That seemed to be all he did when she came into the house, not that she really cared what else he bothered doing. It just became tiresome to see; boring beyond compare.
Eventually, Bellatrix, becoming frustrated that none of her spells were hitting their target, stepped out from behind the chair Rodolphus usually sat in and used dark magic to turn it into a rather giant snake, deadly in all of its glory. It thing shook its head a few times, then began to race toward Bella’s opponent with great speed. ”Fun,” she muttered under her breath. This was most definitely not fun unless one of them was hurt in this duel of theirs.

Rodolphus let a smile come across his face. If anyone else had seen it they would be scared because Rodolphus always wore a a blank face that rarely showed any emotion. He fired several curses at bella none of which were lethal at the moment. "Fun? Bella you of all people should know how fun its to due,. The thrill is exhillirating" Rodolphus Retorted. Thi much was true he was having the time of his life dueling the woman he loved. Bella rarely spent time with him anymore so the few times he was able to coax Bella into a duel pleased him more than anything in the world.
Some might think he is sadistic for wanting a fight with his wife, but when her every moment is spent focused on another man he did what he had to in order to spend time with her. "So unfair Bella. Those were my best books on curses hexes, and other dark magic" Rodolphus laughed as she totally destroyed his books this didn't bother him because they could easily be replaced . He laughed and threw another spelll he believed to be well aimed but it landed in the ceiling above Bella. He was about to toss out the cruciatus curse when suddenly he was faced with a giant snake. This slightly surprised him just because he hadn't seen Bella use that spell in a long time. "Nice move there , Bellatrix but not good enough. Avada Kedavra!" Rodolphus bellowed and with the simple flick of the wrist he had easily disposed of Bella's snake.
If this was the best Bella had to offer Rodolphus was highly displeased. "Come on that the best you've got. I've seen better from a house elf." Rodolphus Taunted. This was to surely piss off Bella but he no longer cared. He loved her but he was begin to wonder if he lost her for good and what was the point of continuing to fight for her. However despite feeling like it was long gone, Rodolphus was determined to win Bella back even if it killed him. He just hoped it didn't have to come to that. This was an odd time to think of ways to win Bella, Especially in the thick of battle with the highly demented woman. Rodolphus' mind raced everywhere, he started thinking about the dark lords recent plans. "Bella Listen to me the dark lord is no longer thinking about wizarding purity. He's too focused on killing that potter kid. " Rodolphus bellowed his observation out loud. He knew it was minor disrespect to the dark lord but if he could get Bella to see the same thing, then maybe just maybe she would return to him.

words // 529 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Ruddy witch gone insane, - C L E A R T H E W A Y M U G G L E , M A K E S O M E R O O M - Bella affectively ignored his retort, determination to win playing greedily on her face. No. She wouldn’t lose to him. She couldn’t. There was no way she would be able to handle losing to someone like Rodolphus; not that he was untalented, but she had been specially trained to be the best. By the Dark Lord, no less! The thought of wasting his time gave her feelings that she would rather not possess: guilt? No. Agony, pain, heart-broken: that was more like it. Emotions she only happened to feel when it came to the Lord of Darkness himself. Grimacing, the witch continued to advance upon her husband, a personal grudge building against it as it always happened to. This man, by some mixture of both talent and magic, seemed to pull a ridiculous amount of anger out of the witch: always. It didn’t matter what exactly he did, simply sitting there reading a book angered her so. Was it because he read those damned books rather than giving her attention? She would never admit that, were it true. Whether it was truth is still yet to be decided. Letting out a small growl, the woman watched as her husband destroyed her snake. Bella had used the distraction of the beast to cross the room, standing rather near her Rodolphus.
”Oh my dear,” she sneered, smirking with grand intention. ”The snake wasn’t there to kill you, so it wasn’t required to be ‘good enough’.” Bellatrix had decided, finally, that attacking head on wasn’t going to cut it with this insufferable man. Kicking a scattered book out of her way, she stepped forward again, her face softening immediately. She had thrown off his insult, focusing on her act. Was he really going to speak against the Dark Lord like so? Carefully she retained her composure, something that normally would have snapped. Her act was one he’d seen before, but Rodolphus’ reaction never seemed to get old. The witch’s face looked very soft and pale, her eyes losing its evil glint. She looked, with complete intent to do so, very normal: just as she used to. Yes, perhaps a bit paler and more demonic in general, but it was there in her face. Taking another step, Bellatrix suddenly appeared very refined. Were it a different time, she could pass for sane; very sane indeed. Holding out her hand as she finished reaching him, Bella drew a line with her finger across his jaw line. ”My dear Ruddy.” Her voice had changed as well, not very sweet and almost seductive. Her act normally worked on the man, however there were times when he would properly resist her advances. ”Why do you say such things?” It wasn’t a very long act, silenced suddenly when the witch pushed the man back: her exterior snapping back into her normal. Her wand was quickly outstretched, pointed closely to his throat. ”Keep such traitorous words to yourself and be punished alone!” Her voice rose steadily, but quivered due to her anger.
”You know NOTHING!” It was, in her opinion, not his place to question the motives of their Lord. Her sweet face dissolved into wicked fury, her voice suddenly shrieking.

Rodolphus smiled as Bella approached, she had used this tactic on him many times before. He loved it because it brought her closer to him but he knew it was a ploy for him to let his guard down. Normally he would let it work but not today. "Oh Bella, I know you weren't going to kill me. You never intend to kill me." Rodolphus cooed softly. Rodolphus backed away pointing his wand back at Bella. "My dear now is not the time for such trivial Seduction." Rodolphus chortled. This was the most fun he had in years. Even if he wouldn't admit it he missed the quality time he had with Bella. She was always out working. He also however knew that would be the sacrifice he needed to make when they joined the death eaters.
Rodolphus saw a glimpse of anger cross Bella's face when he mentioned the dark lord's change of intent. Why had he made such a bold and disrespectful comment about their lord. He only did it because he had begun to realize that ever since the dark lord's return he has focused his time and energy on killing the Potter boy and not pureblood supremacy. " If I know Nothing Bella. Answer me this, How many mudbloods have you killed since our escape, Or has most of our time and energy been spent trying to break into the ministry for some stupid prophecy that we can use to kill potter?" Rodolphus bellowed getting sick and tired of Bella's resistance to the truth,She was never one to Admit he was right about something. Much of the time Rodolphus' hunches were correct and in Regards to the dark lord, he knew he was correct and willing to take the punishment.
Rodolphus stood there trying to figure a way through the insanity that now gripped his lovely wife. He took a step forward. He raised his wand towards the woman he loved but he saw no other way to get her to listen to reason. He was contemplating sending a petrifying spell at Bella and announce his love then leaving her frozen on that cold hard basment floor while he went out to cool off. The decision wasn't coming easy to him, He knew once he would release Bella, She would be furious and take her rage out on him again. This time however he was not going to be spineless git like his brother-in-law, Lucius. He was going to fight back against Bella no matter how many times she attacked him. Attacking the house and the house elf , He could Tolerate but no longer was he going to tolerate Bella's abuse. He was a man defeated one too many times.

words // 490 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Ruddy witch gone insane, - C L E A R T H E W A Y M U G G L E , M A K E S O M E R O O M - Just as quickly as she had wretched back to put her wand to his throat, he too had his to hers. She didn’t respond to his words, simply choosing to ignore them whilst in her ‘act’. Oh how she loathed this man and his . . . unpredictability. He was truly her match in all things personality related, and this she knew. It had been the reason she’d first fallen for him, but no longer would such angering tactics work on her. In apathy, Bella listened to Rodolphus: hi voice continuing to drone on. She wanted him to be silences; to go off and die; to simply leave her alone. At least, that was what anger brought foremost to her mind. Death and destruction were her primary emotions that associated themselves with anger: and Rodolphus knew this. He knew she hated him. Loathed his presence. And yet, he endeavored to keep her company, to continue to speak to her. She hated him. His face tore through her body, his words irking her mind. Something. She wanted him to do something other than stand there and talk. A frown crossed her lips as she thought these things. Then, his words registered in her mind, moments too late.
”Potter,” spat the witch; ”threatens the Dark Lord’s plans. He must die in order for him to succeed.” The idea had been ingrained to readily into her brain that by now she didn’t dare question it. In fact, she punished all that did, panic suddenly ruling her actions. Nothing changed in regards to Rodolphus, her eye twitching once as she continued to point her wand at his throat. Something told her not to kill him: that he would follow the Dark Lord regardless. She so desperately wanted him to suffer, though. Nothing, however, was done in the way of spells against her husband. Whether she would ever admit it again, she had once loved this man. Seeing him die wasn’t . . . couldn’t . . . Slowly the witch withdrew her wand, for it was apparent that neither of them were casting spells. Her motions were rushed; her arms jerking back to sheathe her wand in a manner that told anyone who knew her that something was bothering her. ”Never,” she spoke, her voice grave. ”Never speak like that in front of me. Never again.” Silent panic drove her to take a step back, her eyes still locked on her husband and his wand. Surely, he wouldn’t curse her. Not when her own wand wasn’t there to protect her. Then again, something told her that if he had decided to curse her, he wouldn’t hesitate in doing it. She hadn’t married a coward. She hadn’t fallen in love with one whom was spineless and weak. A small grin overtook her grimace, her mind determining that if he was going to do something he’d have already done it.
”Do it then,” she joked, mocking his indecision.

Rodolphus stood there as the seconds seemed to drag on forever. He was kicking himself mentally for the massive indecision. If it was anyone else but Bella, Rodolphus would have no problems torturing and even killing them. There was something about this witch that made him indecisive and doubt himself. It was one of the few things he hated about Bella, She always made him doubt himself and slow to action. "Potter is Just a kid! What could threat could a fifteen year old boy pose to the likes of us. Also what about the Greasy git Serverus. He has potter at his disposal, If he poses such a threat as you say why hasn't Severus killed the boy. " Rodolphus bellowed knowing that Bella would hate that Rodolphus had a valid point there. All their problems would be solved if Severus just stepped up and disposed of the boy. It made Rodolphus wonder where the loyalties Severus really lied.
Rodolphus watched as Bella put her wand away. This was a foolish mistake that Rodolphus wasn't going to let go unpunished. Bellatrix of all people should know that in the midst of battle never sheathe your wand, it doesn't matter if your opponent is being indecisive. "Petrificus totalus! Tsk Tsk Bella, You of all people should know not to sheath your wand in front of me." He waltzed over to the body of Bellatrix Lestrange that he hoped was now paralyzed. He leaned over and kissed the stunned witch. "Bella, My delusional wife. I love you, but you are so wrapped up in your own delusional world. You have cast me aside like old Garbage. No more! I am fighting back. You will probably hate me now more than ever,I am done being a dog you kick around." Rodolphus confessed getting this off his chest he let an evil smile go across his face. "Well my dear i would love to stay here and watch you stay frozen on this floor but I really must go out and buy more books." Rodolphus chuckled as he slowly made his way to leaving their grand manor.
He knew that eventually the house elf would come across Bella's petrified body and would release her. The wretched creature always came to the rescue of Mrs. Lestrange. He often wondered why he kept the miserable thing. It never seemed to do a thing Rodolphus wanted, or it was interupted by Bella demanding something. It was below Rodolphus to release the help because if he was to heaven forbid, release the elf, He and Bella would be forced to doing the manual labor themselves, The idea was too below the both of them. He knew Bella would probably leave him for good the minute he rid the house of the slave. It was their upbringing to have a house elf doing all the menial chores.

words // 1049 // outfit // clicky // tagged // Closed witch gone insane, - C L E A R T H E W A Y M U G G L E , M A K E S O M E R O O M - Bellatrix snorted, laughing at her husband as he stood there, still frozen from his indecision. Her expression was sarcastic and mocking, knowing it would irk the man before her. Honestly, her actions were not the brightest, but she was sure he wouldn’t dare curse her. ”You know that kid defied all logic long ago when he first defeated our Lord,” hissed Bellatrix, anger beginning to appear within her eyes. She had long since stopped asking ‘how’ and ‘why’ their situation remained as it was; for, even before she had been sentenced to life in Azkaban and was somewhat logical in her thought-processes, it had never made sense. The young boy should have died the night her Lord went to destroy the Potters. Why he didn’t remained a mystery: one that no longer held curiosity within her.
”As for Sevvy, . . .” growled Bellatrix, hatred for the man invading her mind. In a very nonchalant manner, the woman turned on her heels and began to pace around the room: quite sure the tip of Rodolphus’ wand followed her with unwavering attentiveness. ”Every day I question Severus’ allegiance.” Taking a moment to stop, Bellatrix turned to face her husband, serious fury burning through her. ”However, it is not his job to kill the boy.” The woman’s words were slow and deliberate; mocking Snape’s mannerism unintentionally. Nearly having forgotten her husband’s ‘threat’, marked by the upheld wand pointed at her, Bellatrix continued on. ”It is his job to do as he is told, like a good little boy.” At this, the witch smirked, her memory transporting her from the Lestrange Manor back to her times in Hogwarts. Despite it all, Snape and Avery had joined the group of Slytherins in which Bellatrix inhabited. No doubt Rodolphus would remember the young Severus, how he helplessly fawned over his little Gryffindor bitch whenever he had the opportunity. He really had been such a good boy, if only in comparison to herself.
Blinking, Bella focused back on the wand pointed at her. Surely he didn’t intend to truly hurt her? He had to have more dignity than that. Surely . . . But, much to her surprise, Rodolphus did indeed send a curse toward her. With a small ’ooh’, the witch stiffened and fell over, her eyes burning with aching fury but her body unable to express it. Her fall had made a sickening thump on the floor, but no blood escaped as of yet. In her mind, she was replaying the scene over and over again, wishing only that she had not been foolish enough. . . no . . . childish enough to think he wouldn’t actually perform anything. Had something screwed with his head? Had he gone completely mad? She hadn’t seen him actually do something so bold in so very long, but still the emotion of it all irked her. Ignoring his taunting words, Bella stared at the ceiling, unable to voice her murderous intent that was growing by the second. He would pay for this; he would die a horrible . . .
His intent wasn’t to hurt her. Torture appeared the farthest thing from his mind as he neared her and, much to her surprise, much to her astonishment, kissed her. The touch of his lips was soft, slow. Savory: as if he’d wanted to do such a thing for so very long. Unable to respond, Bellatrix continued to glare at him, trying extremely hard to move her fingers. Something within her cleared her mind, however, accepting the kiss with little emotional reaction at all. Numb. She had gone numb. Her immediate reaction was to push him away, but being unable to, she was forced to endure. When he pulled back, she simply continued to glare. The witch literally had no response for what had just happened, mainly because she hadn’t entirely hated it. No, right now she hated herself. She also hated Rodolphus, more so now than ever. Not because he had dared to force such an action upon her, but because he was able to pull such an emotional blank from the woman. Never would she admit that it had stirred anything within her, because she was sure it had all been a trick, a sick joke: one that she’d never have expected from him. Much to her surprise, he continued his speech after performing such a deed. In silence she was forced to lay and listen.
The complete seriousness contained within the tone of Rodolphus’ words shocked the frozen woman. Her mind had long since been silenced, simply taking in the scene with no responses. She had been under such harsh terms in relation to her husband for so long that Bella wasn’t quite sure what the appropriate response would be. She felt lost, wondering blindly in a never-ending abyss of seclusion. There, no feelings existed. There, she simply was, holding no opinions on anything outside her never ending darkness. Then, everything was shattered as he left, leaving her in the destroyed library. She was not sad at his departure: actually his leaving seemed a relief. Nothing had changed, she decided, trying extremely hard to ignore he man’s proclamation of love and war. A sick joke, this was. Anger quickly gripped her tightly once more, her eyes burning with eternal fire. Moments later, the witch’s fingertips twitched, just in time for the blasted house elf to enter the room. He fretted about, flicking any salvageable books back onto their respective shelves. It was a rather long, annoying while before Uley stumbled upon her body. ”Oh dear . . .” he spoke, not entirely surprised by the state of which one of his Masters had appeared. With a quick ‘pop’, her body regained motion, the spell having been lifted. Despite this, the woman continued to stare at the ceiling, not knowing exactly what to do just yet. Uley bowed low and scurried off to clean the rest of the room. He would pay for this joke of his, and for the way his kiss had made her feel. She assured herself, however, that the feeling was from physical contact, and not in any way having to do with him. Snarling, Bellatrix sat up, glaring intensely at the door he’d departed from. ”Rodolphus, you bitch. Watch the shadows, because I’ll get you for this.”
