physical description:
hair: Hermione has always had her trademark brown, bushy hair. Her wavy curls have always had a slightly unruly side to them. Hermione has trained her bushy hair to be more neat and tidy than what it was at her first two years in Hogwarts. She wears it down most of the time, seeing as it ends just past her shoulders, but when doing hard work with spells or charms, she often puts her hair up in various styles. She otherwise just puts a pin in to put back some of her hair or tucks it behind her ear.
eyes: Hermione's eyes are a chocolate brown and almond shaped. The convey her every emotion - if someone was unable to read her emotion through her expression, they could tell how she was feeling by the expression in her eyes. her eyes tell it all. She has soft, kind eyes most of the time, but can glare daggers through someone just as easily. Hermione's eyebrows are defined and arched, and she raises them when surprised or inquisitive. Her eyelashes are long and not thick but full enough.
face: Hermione's face is rectangular shaped. Her nose is medium length and thinner, rounding out at the end. She used to have over sized teeth, but in her fourth year, due to a spell that was supposed to hit Harry but instead hit Hermione, her teeth grew uncomfortably large and she had them fixed to a smaller size than they originally were. Her lips are rose petal colored. Her ears are regular sized, and her ears are pierced.
body: Hermione is average height for a girl, reaching to 5 feet, 5 inches. She is on the skinner side, but still has curves. Hermione has never considered herself to be very skinny or pretty like most other girls, due to insecurity with herself. That's why she dresses so plainly. She dressed mostly in t-shirts or sweaters with jeans, not going out of her way to impress people unless it's for a formal occasion. Even then, she doesn't know how people will react to her formal wear. She dresses more for comfort than for the sake of style, but does not dress in ugly clothing. She wears muggle clothing when not in her uniform.
distinguishing features: Hermione is most recognized by her mane of bushy brown hair and soft brown eyes, as well as the way she walks. Her brown, bushy hair is unlike most other people's. Her walk is often described dependent on her feelings for the day. Her pace is often quick and she's often walking like she is on a mission. If people bump into her as she is passing by, they often know it's her because she is racing through the corridors.

likes:
-books, reading has always brought her great joy
-school, she loves sharing her knowledge and gaining more
- ronald weasley, someone she bickers with so often but has slight feelings for
-friends, the people she can share magic with
-family, reminding her of the outside world and of her heritage
-defense against the dark arts, a class preparing her for the future
-care of magical creatures, showing Hermione that there's a whole world of new creatures to discover
-the weasley family, to see a magical family stick together and accept her as a muggleborn shows great loyalty
dislikes:
-failure, possibly her biggest fear. she wants success out of life as often as possible
-draco malfoy, who makes open remarks about her bloodline and her friends
-lord voldemort, her best friend's opponent and enemy
-divination, Hermione has despised the class, passing it as illogical rubbish
-death eaters, she is always worried for her family when death eater's sightings are in their area
-severus snape, who often calls her names based on her ambition in class
-lavender brown, who Hermione has suspected as being a fake, daft girl
-fleur delacour, Ginny and Hermione often mock and imitate her for sheer amusement
-delores umbridge, a foul and vile lady who Hermione would love to send off
strengths:
-finding information and sources when in a puzzle of when in need, putting her in the brains position between her best friends Ron and Harry.
-has been called an exceptionally talented witch, being a skilled duellist and holding a ton of knowledge about magic.
-is quick and resourceful in dangerous situations
-subjects where books are involved. Hermione has always had better chances in classes where books have been involved.
weaknesses:
-Hermione is very insecure. As much as she puts on the facade that she does not care what others say about her, inside it troubles her. She doesn't fit in like other girls and her two very best friends are males, so she doesn't often feel that secure with herself.
-Divination, she tried to get through the class one year and ended up walking out, which is something Hermione never thought she would do in a class.
-Hermione has trouble hiding her emotions. She will cry when she feels as such, even though she wants to portray herself as being strong. She will show her anger to whoever has scorned her. Although she attempts to hide her emotion, some times she can't help but to show it.
-Hermione has never had much of a skill at flying on broomstick. Her dislike of heights hinders her ability, and she's always been much better at subjects where books were entirely involved.
mirror of erised:
-to pass her O.W.L.'s and N.E.W.T.'s with O and E Levels
-to become someone of importance in the Ministry
-to bring peace between wizards and creatures (especially House Elves)
fears:
-her family becoming targets by Voldemort, a fear that constantly rests in the back of her mind
-her vulnerability and insecurity, she doesn't want it taking over her life
-Harry Potter not winning the battle against Voldemort
boggart:
-failure. she wants to succeed because succeeding in everything is what she feels overcompensates for her inadequacy (she feels inadequate so she tries to make up for it with her skill level)
dementor:
-Hermione's worst memory would be when she caught Ron and Harry talking about her and saying rude things in their First Year, out in the Courtyard. She felt so vulnerable at that moment, and the only thing she could so was bump past Ron and make her presence known, and then cry in the girl's lavatory the entire afternoon. She had never been made fun of to her face, especially by two people she had been pursuing to be their friend. Her parents had told her that although she was not a normal girl, she was special, and nobody was to good for her. She felt so betrayed at that moment.
patronus:
-Hermione's patronus is an otter. Her favourite memory was in her First Year, at the end of the year. She stood with Ron Weasley, speaking to him about how amazing it was that they pulled through their first journey together, and how brave he had been in the Wizard Chess game (she didn't admit it at first, but made it seem as though she was thanking him). The two saw Harry Potter emerge and Hermione beamed with delight. The three of them had made it through their First Year, had beat the odds with their individual skills they'd attributed to their trials. The three had become best friends, and they shared the same secrets. She felt for the first time that she truly belonged with them, in their friendship.
amortentia:
-freshly mown grass
-new parchment
-mint toothpaste
relationship status: single
personality: Hermione is an intelligent young witch. She spends a majority of her time in class or in the Library or reading, when not taking adventures with her best friends Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. She is clever and uses her wit, and has high intellectual skills. Inside and outside of class, Hermione is a very determined, focused girl. She puts great ambition into any project, and is driven to succeed. No length of studying seems to be too much for Hermione, and she has gained enough knowledge over the years to not need to study the same things repeatedly. Hermione has a knack for repeating facts to others to state her case in an argument or to further progress in solving a problem. She tries to think positively at most times, but doesn't push her thoughts into exaggerating past reality. She knows when something will have the potential to work and when it won't.
Although everything looks prim and perfect on the exterior shell of her personality, on the interior, Hermione is a tad different. She is by no means ashamed of who she is. Being a Muggleborn witch means a lot when she has come as far as she has. But beyond that, there lies an insecure, vulnerable little girl. She has always felt rather inadequate compared to other girls her age, from her name to her intense thirst for knowledge to what she deems as not being pretty enough. She feels the need to overcompensate for this by being intelligent and clever and having quick wit. People may call her pretty, but it doesn't get absorbed very well unless it's from somebody she fancies. She can get angry quite easily when hurt, as a facade to hide the pain she feels. Crying comes easily when she has been betrayed or when someone has died, obviously because she is a girl with a wide range of emotions.
Hermione shows a great deal of compassion toward her friends. She often puts them before herself, and takes great care of them. Hermione takes extra care to people who are more defenseless and vulnerable than she is, at least on the outside. She does this because she was always vulnerable and wants to bring others out of their protective shells, even though she is vulnerable too, although not as openly. For enemies, it isn't wise to strike at Hermione because with her skill level and her ability to throw rage into cleverness and duelling makes her a strong person and a difficult opponent to beat. She does hold grudges depending ont he damage done to her heart or soul, but it depends on who she is angry at and why.

Mr. ______ Granger, 47, Muggle (dentist)
overall history:
Hermione Jean Granger was born to two Muggle dentists on the day of September 19th, a bright and sunny yet slightly chilly afternoon, or so her parents told her. She was a very bright child from the beginning. She had no clue that there was another sort of world that held wizards, witches, magic and creatures securely and secretly within, especially one that was surrounding her. She used to toy with little trinkets and from the day she began to learn to read, she'd always have some sort of written text in front of her. Her father used to like having toy trinkets, and she would help him build them. Hermione was always a girl who was seperated from the ideal little girl model. Hermione was not like other girls; her very tangled, untameable bushy hair and over sized teeth made her a bit of an outcast. She didn't find herself ashamed to be different. Instead, she put all of her childhood efforts into reading and playing on her own and with any friend she happened to make. She was not a total outcast. Hermione never completely isolated herself from every other child. She just wasn't the type of girl to go frolicking around in the yard in a dress, playing with toy tea sets and dolls.
When Hermione was eleven, she was sitting on her front porch, reading a book. Suddenly, Hermione got upset with how the ending of the book played out, and she got a bit angry, closing the book. Smelling something burning, she looked around, and then back down to her book, where a corner was singed off. It seemed completely irregular for that to have happened, and she hid the book away to prevent questioning from her parents. A week later, an owl arrived at their front lawn with a letter, and dropped it in their mail slot in their front door. An owl, delivering a letter to their house? Hermione's parents were baffled by the sight of a tawny owl dropping off a letter, addressed to Hermione Granger, with a rather different emblem on the back. As it would turn out, that letter changed the course of her life. She went from being a normal (somewhat) girl to a witch. She was invited to attend a school where she would be with people she was like. Giddy with excitement, Hermione bought every book required for her first year and then some (along with all the other necessary items). She read and read until her eyes went dry. She was so fascinated by this new, magical world, and her parents could do nothing but enjoy their odd but special little girl. Hermione was their only child, and she was now someone entirely different than expected.
Climbing aboard the Hogwarts Express, Hermione knew she was in for something beyond her own comprehension, and attempted to prepare for it. She ended up bumping into a boy named Neville who had already unfortunately lost his pet frog. She also happened upon a chance to meet Harry Potter (whom she had read about) and Ron Weasley. After speaking with them briefly, Hermione continued her search for the missing toad, named Trevor. She was brought into the Great Hall once reaching Hogwarts (which she marveled at, the great castle was massive and filled with legacies), and was intimidated by the other students, but walked ahead with her head held high. Hermione had already picked Ravenclaw out as her top choice of House, with Gryffindor as her next. The Sorting hat was bestowed upon her head, and it shouted GRYFFINDOR with a mighty bellow. Hermione was in Gryffindor, along with Harry and Ron and Neville. That year she learned that flying was definitely not her forte, that people called her names such as stuck up, know-it-all, and big mouthed all of because of how she acted (especially Ron Weasley, and that was when it hurt the most. She had thought of Ron as being a friend to her), and fought a troll. That moment was when she, Ron and Harry all connected into a friendship. One adventure filled with a three headed dog, He Who Must Not Be Named, and a giant Wizard Chess game that almost killed Ron, and Hermione had felt like she'd lived through so much.
Hermione took her exams the First Year, passed with exemplary marks, and continued on to her Second Year. She became closer with Harry and Ron, and was joined by Ginny Weasley, also sorted into Gryffindor. Hermione finally felt like she had a female friend, even if she was a year younger. Gilderoy Lockhart became Defence of the Dark Arts Professor, causing many swooning females, including Hermione. Although that was a positive to her year for a while, being called a Mudblood was a negative. Draco Malfoy uttered that word while the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams were arguing, and Hermione had been there to support before the game. Hermione had nearly cried, and had explained it to Ron and Harry in more context in Hagrid's Hut while Ron spewed slugs (due to a spell that backfired on him). The Chamber of Secrets had been reopened, inflicting fear upon every non pureblood student in the school. Hermione made a very decent Polyjuice Potion to see if Draco Malfoy had any sort of connection to the Heir of Slytherin or any information regarding it. The potion backfired on Hermione as she had plucked a cat hair from Millicent Bulstrode instead of one of Millicent's hairs. She became a human-cat hybrid for a while and hid out until she was normal, being left behind by Harry and Ron (she had instructed them to do the work without her while she regained her own face and body fully back). A slew of attacks began, and Hermione wasn't able to avoid it. She was looking in a handheld mirror when it happened, however, so she was petrified, not killed. Hermione had luckily crunched up a folded piece of paper in her hand as it happened, so she left a clue for Harry and Ron. Once the Basilisk was defeated by Harry, Hermione was back to herself again and revived. She was devastated when exams were canceled that year, even though she was part of being attacked and had missed classes.
Third Year began with a hitch, as per usual. She had grown used to there being problems around ever corner. Hermione spent time with the Weasleys before the year started, and had acquired a fluffy cat named Crookshanks (who Ron deemed a menace). She and Ron fought a lot that year, mainly over Hermione's cat chasing Ron's rat all over. Professor McGonagall gave her a Time Turner, the device that would allow her to take more classes and be in all of them without missing any other ones at the same time. Sirius Black attacked Harry (and turned out to be good), the three best friends saved Buckbeak the Hippogriff from slaughter, and learned more about Harry's past and family. Her Time Turner proves to be a useful tool because while Ron was in the Hospital with a broken leg, Harry and Hermione went back in time to the point where Professor Lupin turned into a werewolf (Hermione had that figured out because she was one of the few to actually do Professor's Snape's assingment on werewolves), and rescue Buckbeak and free Sirius Black. She landed a punch on Draco Malfoy's face when he was part of the scheme to get Buckbeak slaughtered, for once proving she was brave and not to be messed with.
Hermione was invited to attend the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasley family and Harry. She was with Harry and Ron when the Death Eaters attacked, and nearly killed them. When Hermione returned to Hogwarts with the rest of her friends, she was told news of the TriWizard Tournament, and Hermione became excited. A chance to interact with other wizards from different parts of the world. All was good until Harry Potter got chosen to be part of it as a fourth champion (even though there were only supposed to be three). That started the silence between Harry and Ron, which tore Hermione apart emotionally. Both were her best friends equally, and they both wanted her on their side. Hermione could not seem to choose, and it wore her down. Besides that, Viktor Krum had taken a liking to Hermione, and Hermione got to know him better. She helped Harry through his tasks, while still maintaining her friendship with Ron, and then when they finally got back to being best friends, the weight had lifted from Hermione's shoulders. She went to the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum, causing some speculation, and causing a dent in her and Ron's friendship. He accused her of fraternizing with the enemy, while she accused him of not seeing her like a girl. They argued and fought until they both realized they needed to help Harry get through the Tournament. She watched helplessly as Harry entered the maze in the last task, holding on to Ron's arm nervously and hoping that Harry made it. Watching Cedric Diggory die really hurt her, watching how many lives were being sacrificed really put a lot into perspective for Hermione. She knew Voldemort was back because she truly believed Harry, although nobody else really did. Hermione left that year with a heavy heart and knowing many things would change.
As Hermione had thought, things changed. Delores Umbridge, an absolutely horrid woman in Hermione's opinion, now is practically running the school, and banning Hermione and friends from performing any defensive magic. Hermione has grown frustrated with that and wants to find a way around it.

secret phrase: bloody hell
Hermione had been in the Library, desperately claiming books for her use for her endless amount of essays, assignments, and tests that she had to do. Having a Time Turner to attend her classes was wonderful, but it would be less of a burden if she could go back in time and do her homework all at the same time, in different places. But that would also mean exposing her secret, exposing to the students that she was given something special on account of favoritism. Hermione did not want to place that weight on Professor McGonagall, especially since Professor McGonagall was dealing with Umbridge a great deal of the time. Hermione carried her bundled mess of textbooks, parchment, quill, wand and ink bottle to the Common Room, where she had decided to settle herself until her work got done. It was evening, and supper would be finishing soon. Hermione had pulled a Ron and shoved all of her food into her mouth nearly at once, choking once or twice. She honestly did not know how Ron could manage all of that food at once. Hermione couldn't possibly do it, so she took some with her to her dorm room to finish off. There was a lot of work to do, and Hermione was sort of excited for it. She loved magic, that was obvious. The texts of the history and various components of magic intrigued Hermione even more. Hermione finally made it down from her dorm room into the common room, and Hermione dumped her books at a worktable. She wanted to get an early start on all of her work so that she would be done most of her essays and assignments before bed, and would have time to read over her study information before going to sleep.
When Hermione finally got settle into her work table (a table that sat with four chairs around it for various people to work at), she sighed heavily. There was a lot to start on, but she was prepared. She had done this years previous, and had succeeded. She was just as determined this year to do just as well. Her Defense Against the Dark Arts book slipped from the pile, landing on the floor. Hermione picked it up, turning it over in her slender hands to view the back cover. She sighed again. A rather big pain in Hermione's backside (also known as Delores Umbridge) was making it nearly impossible for Hermione to enjoy the class any longer, because she had banned them all from doing magic. Even Hermione, who preferred text over action in classes, was extremely disturbed by the fact that Delores Umbridge had overruled the practice and dueling and had deduced it to the mere text lessons. It prevented a lot of students from gaining the practical knowledge. They no longer used the text she held in her hands; instead they used an age old one (Hermione had read through it, of course) that taught nothing besides what defence against the dark arts was about and the history behind it. Although that part was fascinating in itself, it wasn't enough for an entire year's worth of class. Hermione set the book aside and began on the remainder of her class work, deciding to begin with Transfiguration. Hermione's mood for homework had been interrupted rather rudely by a thought of Umbridge and her vileness.
